The sun rose and set, painting the skies with hues of orange and pink, but I saw none of it for days. My days were filled with aching emptiness that gnawed at my soul. Each tick of the clock was a cruel reminder of the moments I had lost everything in my life. My body ached with so much pain no matter how much I drank to subside the hurt emerging from my heart and my body.
