Melody’s teleporter was a supercomputer contained within the tip of the LyfeModulator wand, and when she drew a circle on any surface, it would allow her to pass through. After leaving Kat’s apartment, she had made a beeline for the back of the building and had calmly drawn a door on the surface of a grimy brick wall.
