Chapter 6When it came to travelling between dimensions, field agents were given a set of useful tools, such as portable teleporters. For decades, most portable teleporters had been clunky pieces of metal, but within the past ten years or so, they had consolidated to be more inconspicuous. Melody’s teleporter was a supercomputer contained within the tip of the LyfeModulator wand, and when she drew a circle on any surface, it would allow her to pass through. After leaving Kat’s apartment, she had made a beeline for the back of the building and had calmly drawn a door on the surface of a grimy brick wall. The circle illuminated its contents with an almost blinding white light, creating a warp hole for her to travel through.
