Hippie thought about it. He’d always liked his grandma. She’d been one of the few people who’d ever given a s**t about him. Seeing her wouldn’t be so bad. “I’m riding it.” “I don’t know,” Smithy said as he stared up at it, transfixed. Hippie nudged him forward as the line moved. Smithy came out of the trance as Hippie climbed aboard. Smithy climbed the stairs and sat down beside him. The old carnie brought down the bar across their laps, locking it in place.
