This whole thing was taking on the feeling of a movie, the kind of movie that his mom liked where something crazy happens at the end and all the good guys are saved and the bad guys get theirs. He could see his mom sitting on the couch, her bare feet pulled up under her as she leaned on a pillow, a bowl of popcorn in her hands, watching the ABC Sunday Night Movie.
