Selena’s POV I slowly woke up to the soft glow of morning light spilling through the curtains, the rays stinging my eyes. I closed my eyes again as my mind battled the fog of sleep. For a moment, I simply lay there, lost between the hazy space of sleep and wakefulness, my body still heavy with exhaustion. What the hell had happened?! My body felt heavy, and my limbs felt sluggish—as if I had been submerged in water. I tried to open my eyes again, slowly getting used to the light.
