Selena’s POV “What---?!” I gasped when I was finally able to process the scene before me. “Wh-what’s wrong with him?” I heard him before I saw him. His breathing was ragged, each inhale was a desperate battle. I recoiled in horror. His skin was marred with bruises and cuts. His clothes were torn, clinging to him like a second, broken skin. Dried blood crusted at the edges of his wounds, some still seeping, staining the floor beneath him. His eyes were empty, a void where a spark of life should have been.
