22 Jerome and Wren were supposedly watching a movie but Wren’s mind kept drifting to the events of the afternoon. Despite her recent problems with her father, he was still her father and she still loved him. She began to realise the enormous sacrifices that she would be making if she stayed with Jerome. Could she sentence herself to a life of isolation? Having the modern conveniences of an inexhaustible supply of food, drink, and clothing was all well and good, but could she survive without feeling the breeze ruffling her hair or the sun warming her face?
