The first time I met him, I had the feeling that Sam and I had a future, though not a friendly one. I hated working under anyone, particularly someone like Sam. But it was Elliot’s idea, and since he’s our boss, I had no choice. Sam’s cool, systematic and exceptionally precise. I pride myself on being a wild, extravagant, creative genius. Elliot knows that, but as he said, Sam would give me the “focus and organization” I needed.
Focus and organization be damned! I thought the whole idea of this partnership was ridiculous. And apparently Sam thought so too, but neither of us could do anything about it. We were stuck with each other.
