Chapter 1

I watched lex read and fill out the paper work without hesitation. As soon as he turned those in they started my discharge and soon I would be out of here. After everyone was gone lex turned to me and said " as soon as we get you discharged we will go upstairs to see my boss so I can see about some time off to get you settled". I shrink in on myself instantly I was gonna pay for this later is what my mind is telling me, I have to shake myself loose no that's how Micheal was not lex. I was gonna have to war with myself to get over this last year with Micheal maybe the mandatory therapy session can help, God do I hope so cause I can't live like this, can't be the broken girl forever at least I hoped I wasn't. Suddenly lex was right in front of me bent so that we were eye level with brilliant blue eyes and those dimples that just held me hostage. He spoke gently but with a hint of humor "Hey I can see a war going on i won't ask what it's about yet, but if you need the war have one with me so you don't get lost in that brilliant head of yours". I smiled my first real smile and retorted back with " Im always up for a good war". Just as he was about to make some snarky comment there was a knock on the door. Dr. Marshall walked in with the nurse and a patient bag full of stuff plus a bag of prescriptions. He walked up took the patient bag from the nurse along with discharge papers and handed them to lex. Then he proceeded to explain all my meds to lex along with when my therapy was and then he let us go. As we made our way to his boss I kept catching him looking at me I finally stopped and told him " go ahead and ask it i can see it all over that you want to ask something". He stopped considered his words carefully and finally said " your not the same girl i remember, I miss your laugh and your smile, and the way you light up every crevice of every room".
