Chapter 18: who is she?

Sofia pov:

it's been a week since the rogue attack, and I can tell you that things have not been easy in the park. Security is extremely tight, and everyone in the pack is training. A few warriors were injured, but there were no casualties. The rogues were not expecting our park to be prepared for their attack.

Damian and the guys had been teaching the warriors' new fighting skills. Also, since they came back from training, they've been teaching the warriors to use certain weapons like guns and arrows while fighting, rather than relying on strength alone.

After the attack, Damian came back to the house to make sure I was fine, and I assured him I was. Albaz was awfully quiet during the attack, and she's been awfully quiet since, and I don't know why, Damian and I kissed a few times and it was hot. If kissing him can get me so wet then I can only imagine.

We have a week till after this school session is over. Finishing my last class of the day and preparing to head home, I put my books inside my locker when Lily came over to me. "Hey, Sofia, I guess you're heading home straight, right?" she asked.

I looked at her and said, "Yes, I'm heading home." I asked her why, and she sand, "Because I can't stand the curfew anymore." Apparently, because of the constant rogue attack, packs have been on a 7 PM curfew.

I looked at her and said, "Same here, and having an alpha for a mate is not actually helping matters." Without the curfew, Damian always makes sure I come back to the pack ground before 7 PM, and Mark, being my future German, has always been protective of me.

We both laughed, and then she asked me how I was preparing for summer break. I told her I really don't have any plans, and this week being the last week of school, we have so many assignments to turn over.

And I ask her, "Are you done with your assignments for the week?" She said, "No, I'm not done. I still have a few to submit before Friday." Today is just Tuesday, so I have enough time for that.

Then she asks me and I said, "No, I haven't. I still have two maths assignments to complete, and it's killing me. I don't even know what supernaturals need math for, what do we need math for?"

and she said, "I know, right? I mean, we’re supernatural, what do we need math for?" I said, "Well, if you think about it, we kind of do need math." We both burst out laughing, and she responded, "Well, I would have helped you, but you know I'm actually worse when it comes to math."

"Yeah, I know. I wasn't counting on you to help me." And then we started walking towards the exit.

As we walked, she asked me, "How does it really feel being mated to the famous Damian Blackwood?" I looked at her and said, "Why is everybody so caught up on Damian, as if he's some sort of king?" girls at school won’t stop giving me the evil look and saying I don’t deserve to have him.

She said, "Sofia, I know you haven't really paid attention to what's going on in our world, but you should actually check out who Damian, Josh and Mark are in our kingdom and beyond. I mean, they might be young, just twenty-five, but I can tell you those three have achieved more than a wolf of a hundred years old would have."

and I asked her "Like what?" She responds saying, "I think you should actually try going on MoonBrowser and research about your mate, your beta and future German'. Then you'll know. But being mated to Damian is not an easy one."

I just told her, "Ah, it's fine, it's just normal, it's okay." But ever since I told him that I was going to give him a chance, give our mating a chance, he's been extremely clingy and possessive and overbearing. He's always around me, like there's no breathing space. That's why most times I'm happy when I'm in school, because I don't have to see him.

And then she looked at me and said, "Really? You say that, but your face is all blushing." I said, "Please, I mean, he's my mate, it's normal that I find him cute and f*****g attractive. " She says, "I think you’re totally falling for him, Sofia."

And I said, "I don't know, I've always had a thing for Damian, but after everything that happened, I'm still trying to be careful. What if he wakes up tomorrow and feels like I'm not enough for him, and he decides to reject me? I have this fear, and this constant what-if in my head."

And she responds saying, "Relax, don't fight it, just let everything play out, let faith handle it, let things just work out, okay?" I looked at her and said, "Fine, you are right. Ah, I love having you as my friend." She smiles saying, "I know, what could you have done without me?" And I said, "Nothing, you're the best Lily." She said, "You are the best too Sofia."

We hugged and when I pulled back, I noticed she was a bit distracted. I looked and asked her, "What is wrong Lily?" And she said, "It's my wolf. She keeps insisting on meeting your wolf.

Sofia, ever since you got your wolf, I haven't even met her. What's your wolf's name?" And I said, "Oh, Albaz." She said, "Wow, that is a lovely name. Well, Liveth wants to meet Albaz. She keeps insisting that she needs to meet Albaz. I don't know why she wants to meet your wolf."

I said, "maybe because we’re friends, so she feels she needs to also be friends with my wolf." She agrees saying, "That is true." Immediately, I reached out to Albaz, asking her if she was ready for the meet-up. And she said, "Liveth, hm, been so long.

" And I asked her, "Do you know Liveth? She replied , "I will explain later, but first, let Liveth know that it's not time for me to meet her yet. I will meet her when I'm ready and prepared. But just let her know that I'm happy that she's here with me again."

And then I told Lily what Albaz said, making her look curious and surprised. And she said, "What's that supposed to mean?" I said, "I don't really know. My wolf has been full of secrets, and honestly, I don't push her. I just let her be, she will open up to me when she's ready." And she said, "Same thing too, that her own wolf has also been a bit secretive with her sometimes."

While we were talking, my phone started ringing, and I brought it out. Lily gave me a look. I said, "Yeah" A new phone, Damian got it for me during the weekend. He says it's a phone befitting a future Luna.

I looked at the screen, and speak of the devil he was calling. I picked up and he said, "hey baby." "Well, I know school is over, so I'm heading your way right now to pick you up.

I sighed, hearing Damian's voice on the phone. "Hey, why are you coming to pick me up?"

"Because we need to go grab dinner together. I thought it'd be nice to spend some time together."

I told him, "No, I have a lot of assignments to do, and I need to turn them over before Friday because this is the last week of school." He replied, "Actually, I wasn't asking you, Sofia. I'm telling you that we need to go grab dinner. And yes, you can do your assignment while you're eating. Who knows, I can even help you."

I said, "Damian, we both know you are bad at math." He said, "Oh yeah, I'm definitely bad at math, but you can still eat while you do your assignment." I said, "You can’t force me if I don't want to go."

He said, "Actually, I can force you to do that, but I won’t force you. Which is why I'm telling you, that we are going to go have dinner, because I know you are actually hungry."

I said, "I don't have a say in this, do I?" He responds saying yes so please stop arguing, and just say yes to it." I said, "Fine, Damian, I will wait for you, so you can carry me to have a forceful dinner date with you." He said, "Please don't make it sound that bad. I'm fun to be with, you know?"

"Yeah, of course, I do." And ended the call, and I looked at Lily. I said, "It's Damian. He actually wants to have a dinner date with me."

She nodded while smiling at me.

It’s a restaurant not far from here. Maybe you could come with us. She said, "No, you should have fun with your sexy mate.

as we're talking." A luxurious car pulled over, and she said, "Oops, my ride is here." We hugged and said our goodbyes and then she headed out.

I waited for a few minutes and saw "Damian, pulling up." And I walked towards the car, but he quickly came down from the car and opened the passenger door for me. And when I looked around, I saw some girls," looking at me, giving me that envious look. And then he made this posture and said, "Enter, my lady." I said, "Please, Damian, don't flatter yourself." And I got into the car.

We drove down to the restaurant. After we ordered, I brought out my assignments and started doing them. After a few minutes the order was brought to our table.

I was eating, trying to also do my assignment. After a few minutes of eating and doing my assignment, I couldn't take it anymore, and I looked at Damian and said, "You know, looking at me is distracting, right?" He said, "Relax, I'm not distracting you. I'm just looking at you." I said, "Well, looking at me is distracting, Damian."

He said, "Oh, it's not my fault that you find my face distracting. And besides, don't blame me, blame yourself for being too beautiful I can't help but look at." I said, "Damian, I don't need your compliment.

I need you to just eat your food and so we can go back to the pack and complete my assignment." He said, "I shouldn't sweat it too much."

After we finished eating, we decided to head back to the pack house because he said his mom asked me to come over, she wanted to give me some books that would help with my Luna training.

We went to the car and drove to the pack house. We had small talk while he was driving, and he told me he was going to let Philip take me home after I was done meeting his mom. He was going to come over later, but I told him he didn't need to because I still had a lot of assignments to finish up with.

He told me not to argue with him, that he already made up his mind. Honestly, it's pointless arguing with him, so I just let him have his way.

When we got to the pack house, he quickly got down and opened the car door for me. I looked at him, blushing. He said, "Wow, you're blushing?" I said, "Well, you've been acting like a perfect gentleman, so I'll give you the credit." He held my hand and started heading inside.

A girl rushed out of the house and immediately jumped on Damian, hugging him. "Baby, you're back!" she screamed, rushing into his arms, hugging him tightly and kissing his neck.
