Sofia pov
I stood there, stunned at what I was seeing, wondering who exactly she was and why Damian hadn't pushed her off him yet. I reached out to my wolf, trying to figure out why we weren't acting all possessive towards the fact that another female was hugging and kissing our mate, I felt a slight pain in my chest.
My wolf said, "I'm not surprised, Sofia. Storm has always had a thing for disappointing me. Let’s just go back to the house before I really rip his heart out of his chest this time around.
As I was about to say something, Josh and Mark rushed out of the pack house, ran to my side.
Damian finally realized I was still standing there and immediately pulled back from the hug. But he was still holding her hand, and then she looked around, "Oh, Damian, you haven't introduced me. Who is she? Oh, is she an omega? Because I need an omega to help me set up my room Or better still i will just stay in yours.
Josh looked at her immediately and said, "No, she's not an omega."
Before Josh explained further who I was, she cut him off, "Oh, it doesn't really matter who she is."
She looked at Damian, "Hey, baby, let's go inside. I need to show you lots of things, and I have exciting news to share with you." And then she dragged Damian into the house.
I stood there, still stunned, wondering why Damian didn't correct her and why he didn't introduce me as his mate. Is this what he meant by trying to win my trust? Damian is really good at disappointing me.
Josh looked at me and said, "It's not like that Sofia….
I raised my hand, "I don't want to hear it. Just take me home."
I got back into the car, and Josh and Mark drove me home.
we got to my house. I came down from the car, and before I entered the house, I turned to them and asked, "Who is she exactly? Who is she to Damian?"
They both looked at me and hesitated on what to say. Mark spoke up, "It's not in our place to tell you.
When Damian comes around, he's going to explain to you who she is. But Sofia, please, just give him a listening ear when he does."
I looked at them and said, "Please, there's no need for that. Damian has always been good at disappointing and hurting me.
They left, and after a few hours of doing my assignment and finishing it, I finally felt relief.
Even though the whole presence of the girl had made me curious and pissed off, what really got me more angry was that Damian hadn't called or come to check up on me like he said he would.
The Luna mind linked me and asked why I didn't get the book before I left, and I told her I didn't want to be around that situation.
She said she understood, but it was just a misunderstanding that Damian was going to explain to me.
After having my shower, I decided to retire for the night. Then I heard a knock at the door, and I wondered who it was this late. I checked the monitor and found Damian standing there. I opened the door, looked at him with a cold expression, and asked what he was doing here, why he had left his special guest.
He looked tired. He quickly said, "Please baby, let me explain, I said, "Damian, I don’t want to hear your explanation. I'm really tired. Let's talk maybe tomorrow. As of now, I don't feel like talking to you." When he tried to enter, I told him, "Damian, please leave. I don't want to talk to you. Go away." And then I closed the door in his face and ran back to my room.
The pain of what happened finally hit me, making me break down and cry. Albaz spoke up, "It's fine, Sofia. Everything is going to be fine." I said, He promised not to hurt us anymore, to win our trust back. This is the way he does it – by flouting another girl in front of me."
And that was when it clicked – the girl wasn't a werewolf; she was another species. It was obviously not a vampire, so she should be either a werecat or a werebear.
The next morning, I prepared for school and forced myself to eat breakfast. As I came outside, I saw Damian's car, and he was leaning on it...
he smiled at me, showing dark circles under his eyes, indicating he probably had a rough night.
I didn't say anything, and walked past him. He held my arm, "Sofia, please don't shut me out again. Let me take you to school, so I can explain. She means nothing to me."
I said, "Really? She means nothing to you?" And then she hugged you... and you hugged her back and let her kiss you Damian while I was still standing there.
When she called me an omega... He cut me off saying I was shocked. I wasn't expecting her; I was processing why and how she came here, and everything happened so fast. Before I realized what was happening, you left already.
"Sofia, please... Please just let me take you to school and let me explain who she is or was to me. I beg of you."
I looked at him, "There's nothing to explain to me. I’m running late, and need to get to school."
Please baby let me drop you off... I didn't feel like arguing with him anymore and got inside the car.
The drive to school was awkward, silent, He tried making small talk, asking how my night was. Someone was trying to break through my barrier – it was Storm trying to communicate with Albaz, but she was blocking him out.
I said, "Tell Storm to stop giving me a headache. Albaz doesn't want to speak with him, neither do I want to talk to you."
"Fine, we'll give you space. Mom wants you to come over for dinner, to welcome the guest."
I said, "There's no way I'm going to be at that dinner with your girlfriend."
He said, "She's not my girlfriend, Sofia.
I said, it doesn't matter.
"Sofia, I need you to come for dinner. My mom requested, as my mate and future Luna.
I said, "Fine, I'll be at the dinner, but she'd better not be in my face."
He said, "I will make sure she doesn't disrespect you or be in your face, baby. I'm going to introduce you as my mate, I’m yours alone I promise.
I said, I'm only coming because your mum wants me there.
He responded sounding really remorseful. I'm sorry for the disrespect yesterday. I will make it up to you, she’s my past and you my present and future. I love you so much Sofia.
I said to him see you at dinner Damian and got down from the and headed inside the school hallway.
