Chapter 2

So today is the day… Even though I wish I could stay longer, I just know that I wouldn't have it that way. My uncle and aunt have to return back to their Pack and I have to go with them… Crimson Shadow Pack was my mother's old Pack before meeting my father, and now it's going to be my Pack…Which sounds weird, I always thought that Moon Valley Pack will be my Pack forever. "We have good memories in this room don't we?" I turned to face my friend…I gave her a smile and nodded "Yeah, we sure did hey…" I looked back at her and stared at her confused… "What are you doing here so early in the morning?" I raised my eyebrow at her and she waved her hands at me. "Pfft… What kind of a sister will I be if I don't come and see you for the last time?" She pulled me into a hug. "You got us last night with your last words, warrior…" I giggled at her words and pulled myself from the hug…

"Heyyyyyyy… I'm serious, it felt like old times when we had our fake war in the backyard!" she shook my shoulders and continued "Or when we are training…always knew what to say to encourage us saying 'Winning or losing we are still the best of our kind… the opponents might have strength but we have skills and strategy ohhh and after this whole practice we are all going shopping' remember?" Her eyes were glossy and I can tell that she is really really trying to fight back her tears as much as I am trying to fight back mine. "Don't hold back once you get there…Show them why you are a warrior head princess… Make Uncle Jared proud… an-and if they don't like you… So what?" My eyes started to blur and I pulled her into a tight hug. "Just know that you can always come home and this home will always be here waiting for you… And the boys and I will always be here waiting for you to come to us!" "Am going to miss you so much Val…and I love you so so much…" "I'm going to miss you too Zozo…and I love you more than the word itself" she pulled away and wiped her tears… I did the same and wiped my tears… "And you're not allowed to have any other best friend but I remember that… We are best friends for life!" she took out her pinky finger and I knew where this was going… I locked mine with hers and said "I swear!"

Knock-Knock…

We unlocked our pinkies once we heard the knock on my door.

"Come in…" I answered and my aunt only poked her head through the door. "Breakfast is ready girls…" she had a smile on her face and we both nodded her way.

"Coming aunt Sheila…" I told her and she nodded and closed the door.

"This is not our last breakfast together right?"Valerie asked as we walked down the stairs. "It can never be our last… And besides once Alpha decides that you're ready to rule I will be here standing beside you and Blake… As your best friend and head warrior!" I told her and she giggled and nodded her head…

"The moon goddess has to come first before dad retires" I laughed knowing that she is telling the truth… Alpha Matt always feels that she is not ready to

lead the Pack, but I think he is just scared for his daughter… Because for me Val is ever ready, she has this Pack at heart and will do anything for her people… "Don't worry he will come around, and when he does he will be holding a celebration for the whole month…" I told her and we both laughed. Walking into the kitchen and not seeing my mom seated and my dad with an apron feel so weird, dad always made us chocolate chip pancakes as it's both my mom and i's favorite pancakes… he always made it his duty to make us breakfast before he heads to the training grounds. "Good Morning girls…" My uncle who was seated already greeted us. "Morning uncle…" he smiled at me and looked at my aunt who was pouring juice into his glass. My gaze fell on the table only to see the table full of food. "Zozo…?" My uncle called out for me, bringing me back from my daze. "Yes?" I turned my gaze to him "Are you alright little one?" he asked me with a concerned look. I looked at everyone only to see that Val had already taken her seat and my aunt also. "Yes, I am fine…" I took my seat and started to fill my plate with some food. I have hardly eaten since my parents' passing but my aunt has been forcing me to have something now and again and looking at her now, I know if I don't eat they will feel dejected and I don't want that. I don't want to be a burden to them… Throughout breakfast, everyone was just silent and on their own thoughts. I stood up and took my plate to the sink and washed it… Val came with the other plate and my aunt helped her to clean the table. "We are leaving in two hours ladies…" My uncle announced as he stood up. I looked at him and nodded. "Okay hun…" my aunt responded. "The Alpha asked to see me before then, so I am just going to the Packhouse while you tidy up the house." He walked out of the kitchen and I turned to the dishes and started to wash them. "I'll give you girls some time…" aunt said as soon as she was done cleaning the table. "Did you park everything that you will need?" "Yes…" "What about your toiletries…you know you have a habit of leaving it behind." She asked again "Yah…I packed it the moment I was done bathing." "Okay good…Because I don't want to run after the car again waving at your uncle with your toiletry back." We both let out a chuckle and sighed afterward… My uncle came back from the Packhouse after about an hour. I don't know what he and the Alpha were talking about and I never snoop on elderly matters so I didn't bother to ask him. With the time that he was gone, I went to the Pack cemetery for the last time to bid my parents farewell for the last time. Now it's time to leave home… I looked around the house for the last time 'Bye Home…' I closed the door only to come face to face with the Pack members.

Susan was the first to walk me… Susan is Isaac's mother and mom's friend. "We are going to miss you warrior princess…may the goddess guide you child" I nodded as I hugged her. "Take care Sussy…" Anna came to me as well… She is the Pack elder. "Don't forget about us and don't give your uncle and aunt a hard time okay… Visit us once you settle down, child…" She hugged me and patted my back. This granny is the heart of the Pack and a mother for all...she lost her mate a long time ago and has never wished to find her second chance mate ever since. My friends hugged me and their parents followed as well… I walked to Luna and Alpha as they were just in front of my uncle's car. "I already hired someone to tow your cars to your new home together with your parents' cars," Alpha told me as I stood in front of him. "Thank you, Alpha…" He nodded and Luna Leah hugged me… "Take care child…" she patted my back and I couldn't help but let the tears fall. "Am going to miss you, Luna…" I told her. "I'll miss you too… And remember that you will always have a home here with us baby"

I got in the car and my uncle started the engine… I look outside my window only to see my friends in their wolf form running beside the car. Just as we left the Pack territory Val howled.
