The above incident took place in August 1942, which was celebrated by the great leaders like Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru as the 'Year of Historic Fame'. In August 1942, the Kopakkinimalai eruption, which had been simmering in the hearts of the Indian people for some time, erupted. The revolution spread rapidly throughout the country. Our hero Kumaralingam was one of the patriotic heroines who were instrumental in spreading that revolution across the country. In that miraculous August 1942, many who had not cared much about the nation or national liberation were suddenly caught up in patriotic fervor, zeal for independence and revolutionary frenzy. But Kumaralingamo had long been patriotic and interested in national independence, to show that interest in the matter. He was facing the opportunity. He fully believed that the occasion had now come and that this was the right moment to break Bharatiya's slave animal.
The news that Gandhi Mahatma and the nation's incomparable great leaders had been imprisoned overnight by a foreign authoritarian government and taken to a secret location unknown to anyone, fueled the rage in his heart. Sri Subhash Chandra Bose's heroic sermons on the Berlin radio made him ready for any sacrifice for national liberation. The events that were taking place at that time all over the world and the things that were happening in the country at that time made the pure blood that was flowing in his youth reservoir boil. His nerves were pounding that something had to be done for national liberation. Every atom of his body was swaying and swaying. He was determined to sacrifice his life if necessary in the final war of independence of India. In this situation he had a good opportunity to use his mental strength and intensity. A revolutionary leader came to Chennai from the north.
He was looking for suitable Assamese to spread the revolutionary plan throughout the province as quickly as possible. Kumaralingam volunteered to do the above. Knowing that he was the right Assamese to talk to, the leader ordered him to go south to Pandya. Kumaralingam is from Pandya country and is accustomed to traveling in that country. So he eagerly volunteered to clear his throat. Kumaralingam went to Pandya with leaflets printed on a 'cyclo style' machine. He had a list of important patriotic warriors in every town in the country. He found them and gave them leaflets. He said a few more things than he had seen in the pamphlet on the frenzy he had at the time for national independence. Set fire to railway stations and courts with plans to cut telegraph lines, open prisons, seize government treasuries Etc. He went on to tell of revolutionary plans. Having said this, he went on to warn that nothing should be done contrary to the Mahatma's Ahimsa Dharma.
As he was traveling through the storm, he learned that police officers had been ordered from Chennai to arrest him in a village, and he decided to do something spectacular for national liberation before he was taken prisoner. A ban on holding public meetings was in effect in the town. He arranged to hold a public meeting in defiance of that order. He delivered a patriotic speech at the meeting: "The time has come to destroy Bharat's slave animal. Cut the wires so that the police do not come, relocate the railway tracks, hoist the flag of complete independence and we will reach our own state, ”Veera roared. At that moment, the people marched towards the taluk concert chanting "Vande Mataram Mahatma Gandhi J Jay Puratchi Vaalka" after hearing his impassioned speech. The crowd grew bigger and bigger. In the middle of the crowd, Kumaralingam roared like a male lion.
By this time the matter had reached the authorities. The police sub-inspector and his servants, who had left with the intention of arresting Kumaralingam at the public meeting, saw the crowd half way through and returned quickly. The mob chased them, the police rushed to the taluk concert and hid, the enraged crowd surrounded the taluk concert, broke down the doors of the subjail inside the concert compound and freed everyone, including the thieves. A barrage of stones fell on top of the taluk concert. Police inside took the g*n and fired indiscriminately outside. The fury of the people increased as two were wounded. Attempts were made to set fire to the taluk concert building. Kerosene petrol straw firebox etc all came in very quickly.
After seeing these arrangements, the police inside tried to leave and came out with gunshots. Unfortunately they only had two of the guns. The bullets were also low. After firing two or three times, the bullets ran out. The mob, which had dispersed slightly after the shooting began, returned when it learned that the bullet had run out and surrounded the police. Two policemen were killed when a mob stormed a rally on Friday, removing hundreds of protesters by truck. Within this the big officials got the information. The Deputy Superintendent of Police and several police jawans rushed in with horrific hooting noises. That's when a voice called out, "Run, run!" The newly arrived police chased and beat them. The only commotion was gone
Kumaralingam was watching so many things that happened so fast. The policeman also saw two people falling to their deaths. In the distance he noticed a large police force approaching and people scattering. Stunned for a while. Then he hardened his mind and ran like everyone else. If he stood there he would be forced to arrest himself; The police will charge her with murder even though the two are dead. They will t*****e you by putting you in sub jail. You have to do as much as you can for the nation before you get caught by the police. If we work in secret for a few more days, maybe the great revolutionary movement that will take place all over the country will succeed and the nation will achieve independence. Whatever the benefit of rushing to the gallows in a hurry without seeing it anyway, it was all right to run away this time anyway, so many ideas appeared and disappeared in Kumaralingam's mind at the flash of lightning. In the end the legs immediately began to execute the resolution he had made up his mind. He ran into the alley potholes. For a while he crossed the town's border and entered the Punjabi forest surrounding the town.
Deciding to reach a safe place by dawn, he hurried away. Unable to find his way at night and not knowing the direction, Athir was caught by the train, and after walking a short distance along the railway he reached the curve of the boulder as we had seen earlier. At that time, seeing the train coming, the thought of why not do one more wonderful thing for the freedom of the nation flashed like lightning. He immediately began to execute it. But we have seen above that his work was not successful and the dissatisfaction he felt as a result. The beautiful lanterns of the night train disappeared and the car came to a halt on all four sides again, with Kumaralingam hiding the charcoal rock from where the railway station was then standing. So the four sides are the same darkness. Darkness covered the inside of Kumaralingam as well as the outside. He was so stunned not knowing what to do or which side to go in the pitch dark. The thought of whether his future life would be so gloomy came to his mind for a moment when a kind of horror that he had not realized until then in so many dangerous situations occurred in his heart, his heart pounding. His legs trembled and beat as he stood.
The next moment he would have fallen down, fainting and fainting. Fortunately, the cold wind that blew at that time made his whole body shiver. He made a great effort and made up his mind that 'this kind of cowardice should not be allowed at all'. The palpitations of the heart and the trembling of the legs stopped at the same time. Once again he looked carefully at the foursome. The idea of which side to go is the same. After staring at it for a while, he saw a tiny star on the horizon in the far west. There was something glamorous in that star that sparkled that sparkled. He had been staring at the same thing for a long time. He remembered that the railway station in front of him was bewildered by the hand lamp light star. This is also the case Whether he was deceived or not, the red light of that hand gesture frightened him and stopped him. This comet color star waved to him. Yes; This, too, is not really a star.
Kumaralingam has already visited the Chola Hill and the Murugan Temple on the hill and also seen the ruined fort at the foot of the hill. There are many more convenient places to hide in the foothills and valleys beyond the mountains than in the desert. For some time it was the mountainous region. The right place for him, Lord Murugan's mercy on him, shines like that immortal lamp and invites him to come there. God did not want to betray himself to the British police. If he had gone the other way behind that dark steep cliff, he would not have seen the Chola mountain light. The firmness and solidity in his chest gave his legs amazing strength.
