13“The bathing room is in here.” Jace clutched Lena’s elbow as he led her into a narrow, white-walled chamber. Lena rubbed her arm when he released her. His grip had been a bit tight, his impatience clear as he’d jostled her along. Perhaps his earlier visit from Lord Jarl had put him in a foul mood. She hadn’t seen him since their midday meal. She had spent the rest of the afternoon listening to Edwin talk about his time as a sailor, all the beautiful sites he’d seen from the railing of his cargo ship.
