"Nasaan sila Mama?" I asked as I sniffed.
"Nagpapahinga...inatake na naman.." She said.
My mother's company went bankrupt. My father was having a health issue because of stress and too much work. And my mother couldn't handle the business anymore because of emotional stress and tiredness. She also told me that our grandmother passed away and that made our Mom faint.
Parehas kaming umiiyak ng kapatid ko habang nag uusap. Paulit ulit niyang sinasabi na 'wala na' dahil bagsak na bagsak na talaga ang negosyo ni Mama. May mga nilapitan na sila pero hindi pa rin ito sapat para umayos ang negosyo. Binenta na rin halos ang mga lupaing nabili namin pero wala pa rin talaga.
"Our parents can't provide for us anymore, Ate" She sobbed.
I inhaled sharply. "Maghahanap ako ng paraan,"
