Ava knocked quietly on the door and then pushed it open. She got inside the wide room and closed the door behind her. The room was as luxurious as everywhere else in this house. But there was no one in it. Ava's eyes roamed from the king-sized bed to the smooth milk rug and the matching sofas. Ava's eyes went towards the balcony which opened to the roof area.
The billowing chiffon curtains beckoned on Ava and she headed there, plus, she could recognize Adrian's scent by now. She could perceive it from the roof area, however faintly it ocurred to her.
She climbed the short flight of steps up and emerged at the roof area. She'd seen the roof from downstairs just yesterday night. Apparently, Adrian was sunbathing there this morning.
