  At about five am the next morning, Ava heard a knock on her door. She rolled to her other side, hoping whoever was at the door would give up and go. The knocks came again insistently. Ava groaned and dragged herself out of bed and trudged to the door. She gave a wide yawn as she opened the door.   "Adrian?" She asked, puzzled at seeing him there.   Adrian watched her in her sleeping shorts and T-shirt. Her hair was disheveled, some of it hanging in a loose doughnut bun and the rest of it roaming free out of the bun.   "I've never seen your hair up before," Adrian commented.   Ava cleared the sleep from her eyes and realized where she was and who she was talking to. She immediately felt self-conscious.
