"Welcome," Diane said brightly to Ava as she came closer to where she sat, on a couch.
Ava smiled, waving. "We have everything in place, I assume?"
"Almost," Diane said. "Take a look at the final list of purchases we will be making. I'll send the list to the party planner before evening for her to make the purchases."
Ava took Diane's phone and skimmed through the list on the notes app.
"It does not seem complete," Ava said. "I assumed the list would be longer than this."
"Let me see," Diane said, sitting next to Ava. She scrolled down her phone screen and the rest of the list appeared. But she had scrolled too quickly and so after the rest of the list came up- for a split second- the app closed and the screen wallpaper came on.
