Ava felt a strong arm right her and take its place at her waist. She turned to watch Adrian's face, surprised. His lips were in a hard line. "Are you okay?" He asked softly.
Ava nodded, her hand slowly massaging her neck. She noticed that there were three men in the lobby from the deliberation hall, as well as the few people who were initially present in the lobby. One of the men, Ava realized, was the chairman of the Council. The deliberation lobby receptionist was not at her perch at the reception counter.
