When they were at the council meeting, Ava stayed in the deliberation room throughout. She braved through the preliminary deliberation, bored as she was. She wasn't going to stumble in Ruby Greystorm's path today.
But Ruby was not in attendance. Ava used her eyes to search for Ruby but did not find her. Turns out Ruby had thought better of coming. But given Adrian's insistence that she needn't be worried about Ruby Greystorm, Ava assumed that Adrian might have had something to do with it.
It was all good then. Ava had planned to avoid a confrontation at all costs. So far, she was doing great. She sat in the main hall during deliberation and when the council had breaks, she stuck to Adrian's side.
