"It's none of your business," Adrian stated, snapping. "Focus on your marriage."
"Of course," Carl said. "I don't 't need to intrude. But being the self-appointed best man, I need to know your plans."
Adrian shook his head. "If we weren't friends, your intrusion would be annoying."
Carl agreed, laughing. "It is, actually. But there's nothing you can do about it."
But Adrian was not listening. His gaze had drifted behind Carl's form to two women standing behind him.
It was Ava and some other woman who she chatted with.
