Day after day, Ava would sneak off to the woods with Iris where Iris would teach her spells. Ava was getting more and more of a grip on her magic and she had more than enough space to practice and make mistakes and test her capacity. Even better, Adrian was never around these days. He was avoiding the pack house for the second week that week.
From Mrs Draven, Ava found out that Adrian would be back the next week. Adrian had informed his mother that he was choked up by work and so would spend some more time in the city. He would be back next week.
Mrs Draven had told Ava because she "knew that Ava must be missing her mate." Ava had only smiled. She was missing Adrian, of course. But she wasn't going to admit it. And anyways, his absence allowed her to train with Iris undisturbed.
