Adrian sent Ava a dress. While Ava sat down in her near-empty apartment and had lunch with Kayla, a delivery man had knocked at the door.
Ava had met the delivery man with her baseball bat as usual. After seeing that he was harmless, Ava proceeded to sign for the package. She came inside with a box in her hand and Kayla watched the box quizzically.
After Ava had locked the door, she opened the box and brought out a note atop the dress. She read the lines on the crisp sheet of paper and stuffed it in her back pocket.
"It's from Adrian," she said, a response to Kayla's look.
She put the box down and Kayla examined the dress, nodding as she did so. "Who knew he had such good taste? And the fabric...This dress would be quite expensive."
