  "You left several missed calls. I thought something was wrong," Adrian said. "I called back."   "About three hours later," Ava said quietly. "I just wanted to see how you were doing; see if you cared about how I was doing."   Adrian let out a sigh. "You were with your father. I had no cause to worry."
