"We could certainly use all the help we can get." Aldrich said.
"There should really be more of them helping us." Lexie said. "This should be their job. It's absurd to expect Cassius to do this alone. What are your leaders thinking? It's like they don't care."
"She's not wrong." Cora said. "Why are we the ones dealing with this?"
Surely this was the type of thing that angels of death should be dealing with. Cora herself was involved in this because of her contract with Aldrich. Without him she wouldn't be here and likely wouldn't care.
"That does not matter." Aldrich said. "What matters is that someone does."
And this wasn't what Aldrich said he had summoned her for. Cora didn't really absolutely have to deal with this.
