Married to his enemy.

The sound of Jayden’s loud alarm clock jolts him up from the bed as he stares at the time which shows that it was eight o’clock AM. He sluggishly made his way towards the bathroom before proceeding to take his bath. The previous day, Jayden had signed a marriage contract and he had dropped off his details to get a marriage license today. After taking his bath, he wore a pair of white suits before standing in front of his mirror with a smile. The brown eyes of Jayden glitter in the mirrors because the thought of getting ten million dollars within three months was so refreshing. After taking a final look at himself, he stepped out of his house and hailed a cab which immediately took him to the city’s marriage courthouse. Upon arrival, Jayden saw Alfred who was smiling at him. “Hey,” Alfred purred with a warm voice. “Hey,” Jayden mused, waving his hands at Alfred. "I... I need to make some phone calls," Alfred stammered. "I paid for the marriage license to be made faster, so just your signature is needed to complete the paperwork and solemnize the marriage." Jayden brows became arched in confusion. “Does this mean that you want me to go inside the courthouse alone?” He inquired and Alfred nodded his head. "Party A has already signed the marriage license so now we just need Party B to sign it as well. The judge is waiting for your signature.” After Alfred statement, he pulled out his cellphone from his pocket to instantly answer a phone call while walking away from Jayden. Jayden sighed, stepping inside the courthouse as he did as he was instructed by the judge in charge. "I'm going to stamp your marriage certificate, making it official," the judge stated, the weight of her words echoing through the chamber. "Once it's stamped, I’ll need your husband to be present so that the both of you will exchange your vows." The judge added, her gaze was piercing, her tone leaving no room for doubt. Jayden nodded his head, and the judge went ahead to stamp the marriage certificate, making it official. ‘What’s taking Alfred so long?’ Jayden wondered anxiously, his mind racing with a thousand what-ifs. ‘Is he having second thoughts? Is this all a cruel joke?’ Jayden was deeply questioning himself when all of a sudden, the court door suddenly opened, revealing a young handsome man in a completely white suit. He approached the judge with an air of regal composure, his footsteps echoing across the marble floor. Just as he reached the front of the courtroom, however, his confident stride faltered ever so slightly, his lips parting in a momentary gasp of surprise. From afar, the face of the person approaching was unclear to Jayden, but not until the person stood some inches away from him. “Jay… Jayden, are you stalking me?” Ryan spat in disgust because his contract marriage was meant to be a secret Jayden scoffed. “I am here to get marrie-“ "Congratulations, Jayden and Alfred. Your marriage documents have been stamped. You may now seal your vows with a kiss." The judge uttered, cutting Jayden off from completing his sentence. “WHAT THE HECK!”
