Dark Eyes - Belonging

Dark Eyes moved through the trees carefully her gold eyes lit up the evenings darkness, they were only starting to lose light now. Dark Eyes was following scents wolves she could smell them, but she knew she had to be careful as this wasn't her home, but she also felt a pull a belonging that she should be here. She wanted to know why she felt this.

Dark Eyes moved her way through the field of sunflowers, it was strange but as the same time beautiful that it was randomly placed surrounded by the trees it was a hidden beauty. She then felt a sudden rush come over her body her fur stood on end, she was in the pack's territory. She could hear the noises this pack was very busy. There was lots of small wooden house scattered around the clearing, they were not bunched together like town houses it was more like a camp site with little wooden huts. In the center was a large house almost looking like a mansion compared to the others it had at least four floors. The lights were on throughout the houses. Some people sat outside the pack house talking, and laughing, they were Alphas she could feel their strength and power.

Dark Eyes stopped moving she felt danger she knew it was because she was on a territory that wasn't her own, she didn't have her own. Her tail went high in the air a place like this must surely have patrols and people looking after it. Dark Eyes could smell the male she had en counted a couple of nights ago, she was curious. She sat herself down just behind one of the wooden houses she couldn't smell anyone inside. She was alerting to every noise, but it was hard to pay attention to everything new.

The last time she had met the male he had spoken to her in her mind. It wasn't until now, she understood, it was as if the more and more Lilly accepted her the more she found herself become stronger and more aware. She would try to contact him she wasn't sure how far it would stretch or if she could even talk to the right person. However, she was here taking a risk, and it thrilled her. Her eyes looked over the pack house there was a room with a balcony and double doors. She thought about the Male his black eyes, his muscular shoulders that were wide, his short light brown hair. He was handsome for sure and give off a strong aura. She wanted to speak with him but what would she say?

“Try hello?" Lilly's voice pushed into Dark eyes mind. She had a point what else would she say as she wasn't sure if this would work.

“Hello” what was to follow she didn't expect at all. A two male voice came into her head.

“Hello, who?-:

“It's her?"

“How is she?"

“Where is she?"

It was then silent it had done wrong there had been two people, she considered leaving when she spotted to faces in the window, she watched as one male looked like he was scrambling at the door pushing the other male out of the way. They looked comical and very similar. The larger male got out onto the balcony and looked out she then observed as he got onto the end and jumped off changing midair. The skinnier one of the two seemed to curse and go back inside quickly.

Dark Eyes stood taking a few steps back into the Darkness this had been what she had wanted. Contact, but now she had it she was nervous the male approached his wolf was like her own gray. However, his legs and underbelly were white and white also crept onto his muzzle. They matched in size, however. He was still standing by the pack house was he in shock or waiting. Their eyes met for a moment before Dark Eyes attention was brought to the young male exiting the pack house as he walked past the Alphas who was looking between both the males.

“Don't mind him, he just is feeling a little restless you know these teenage Wolfe hormones” Jackson declared as he approached his brother. One of the Alphas placed his hand over his face as if he was embarrassed, but he said nothing. The rest of the Alphas laughed as they carried on talking.

Dark eyes stepped back more into the trees as the males approached one in his wolf for the other stayed human. Dark Eyes could tell they were related. Jackson spoke to his brother through mind link

“Be casual don't scare her, we will have to move further back, I will keep in mind link reach, but we need to move out so the patrols don't come snooping.”

As the two brothers approached the strong gray female she felt excitement build in them all, it was different almost exiting. The wolves voice come into her mind, but it was different from last time. Calmer a different tone as Mitch spoke. “ My wolf is glad you here, but we need to move back it was risky you coming here on your own. We need to go some place we won't get disturbed” Dash was thrilled, he would get to spend time with this female but Mitch was keeping him down as he didn't want him grabbing her like last time.

Dark eyes followed the males as they moved back through the sun flowers towards when they had first met. Jackson didn't go that far as he wanted to stay safe, he wanted to be a link to the pack if anything went wrong.

He could still communicate with the creatures a few feet away from him and observe, the patrols also wouldn't come this far now.

Dark Eyes tilted her head looking at the wolf, it was comfortable being around someone like her.

Mitch was surprised to see how strong her wolf seemed, he has a betas son and received training. His build matched hers, if he didn't know better he would have said she had to be of ranking blood or trained hard for her wolf to be so strong and well-built. She was beautiful there was no denying that was for sure, her aura also was very powerful it didn't go unnoticed that the tail was set high with authority.

The Male wolf spoke to Dark Eyes with mind link, but she could feel this was a three-way conversation so the other brother could listen “I'm sorry are meeting didn't go well the other day, my wolf can be a little impulsive”. It all made sense the males wolfs eyes were brown because his human had control. “Can we maybe try this again, I'm Mitch son of the Beta of the sunflower pack, an are?"

Before Dark Eyes could answer they both turned their heads as a laugh escaped the observing male. Jackson put his hand up to them as if to apologize for the interruption as he tried to compose himself. He had never heard his brother be so polite before.

Dark Eyes looked back to the wolf in front of her she also spoke so the three of them could hear she hoped “I am Dark Eyes the wolf of Lilly, I take it you two are brothers?"

She caught Jackson nodding and the wolf before her growled, Dark Eyes responded with her own snarl to match. Mitches voice spoke once more. “No - sorry it's not you, my wolf has been very excited to see you again and as much as I would love to shut him up he is really pissing me off so, if I'm actually going to talk to you at all I need to shut up so...I apologize for what is to follow" his eyes turned black.

The male wolf's tale lifted instantly as it swayed in the air, they male wolf then moved into a play bow in front of Dark Eyes it was nice to play for a moment. She greeted his play bow by moving forward and biting his muzzle putting pressure on him ever so slightly without wanting to hurt him too much. Dash responded opening his muzzle and growling their teeth clashed as he tried to spar with her. He then stood up, and went to her side she watched him closely her tail still high. He stretched out one paw and jabbed her side she caught his paw in her muzzle, he then charged forward with his head, and they carried on bouncing and playing for a few moments as their natural wolf nature took over. Dash was about to howl as he felt an urge of being reunited when his brother coughed and shook his head Jackson spoke to them both “Don't be stupid Dash, it would just be like setting off an alarm”.

Dark Eyes watched as the males eyes slowly and reluctantly swirled back to brown. He sat himself down on the floor his head c****d as he looked over the female. He felt like he had just bonded with her, she had humored his wolf.

“So what now? I don't know how all this works? How do I become part of your pack? Do I need to? Why are you different to me?" She looked from one brother to another.

It was Jackson who spoke first in response

“ we were hoping you could answer our questions, I have never seen or heard of anything like you before. I was curious when Mitch told me about you, an so was Dash we even got permission from the Alpha to attend the local university, so we could see if you were around there? Our excuse was to keep an eye on what was happening in and around the local human town. What pack are you from? Why do you want to join our? “

It was as if Mitch wasn't satisfied with Jackson's answer “I'm sure the Alpha would be happy to meet you though if you wanted to join us”.

Dark Eyes look a moment to process all this, and she felt happy the boys had taken such an interest, but she still didn't understand why? There must have been so many female wolves there pack why would they come looking for her?

“I'm not part of any pack, Lilly lives with a human until not long ago she believed to be her father". Dark Eyes felt Lilly's pain inside her body she loved Ray. The wolves eyes swirled to a light blue Lilly took control. “Please excuse Dark Eyes she doesn't understand what's happening here, an nether do I, I won't be joining your pack I have a home. This is all new to me and I want to take things slowly. I hope you understand and maybe you guys can help me to learn.”

Jackson clapped his hands together with excitement " I understand and I'm sure we would both be happy to help, but please just be careful there are vampires and rogues around our territory and for someone like you it might not be safe.”

Lilly would have liked nothing more than to spend the rest of the night talking. They had been there for a couple of hours now she stayed in her wolf form mainly because she had left her clothes behind. Talk was easy between the three of them as they agreed that they would keep their meeting quiet until they knew more about what Lilly was, but they agreed to meet the following day. They agreed they would come to her “gathering”.

Mitch had been reluctant for her to leave again especially as he knew no one was at home. She reminded him however, she could look after herself he should remember that from their previous encounter. Finally, as Lilly closed her eyes that night she felt at peace life was just starting. She didnt go straight to sleep as she had a talk with Dark Eyes about how cute she found Dash.
