Lilly - Awkward

It had been an awkward drive home, Lilly had apologized to her father but demanded she didn't feel well so had wanted to go home. Ray wasn't a man of many words but even more so now that he was very embarrassed, it was a very quiet ride home. He had informed her that he would be working away over the next couple of days, so he wouldn't be there for her gathering, but he was sure she was pleased about that. He would need to fly out to for a business meeting, but he would be back in three days, he would fly out tonight as they were home sooner than expected. Lilly felt bad she knew she had embarrassed her father, Dark Eyes had neglected to mention that shifting takes your clothes off, and puts them into little pieces. 

She had not heard from Dark Eyes most of the day, but she knew she was there, Lilly could feel she was alert listening. They had lost the creatures and had not smelt them again but Dark Eyes wasn't convinced that it was the end. That evening she had said goodbye to Ray, normally she felt fine in the house on her own. This however was different in a matter of days her world had changed she had seen a wolf, become an actual wolf and been under threat. At the same time she knew she had Dark Eyes even though she seemed to be very impulsive. They were both getting used to each other, Lilly was strong willed but careful and Dark Eyes was strong, cautious, but also lacked a fear which maybe she should have had. 

 “When are you going to ask Ray about your parents" Dark Eyes voice interrupt Lillys own thoughts. 

 “I don't know, I don't know if I will is there no way he can be my father? I know I don't look like him? He doesn't look like a wolf but can't he be? Lilly shrugged she didn't want things to change between her and Ray for her whole life, he had been there. Yes when she was old enough he started travelling for his buisness, but he was always enough. 

 “No Ray is human I figured that out a very long time ago. Can we go for a run" Lilly got up she knew she wouldn't get much sleep if she didn't as she felt restless. Now that made sense it was Dark Eyes restlessness she could feel which made her want to get out of the house. Lilly was grateful for the distraction anyway she didn't want to talk about Ray any more she didn't want anything else to change as everything was changing. On her way out she spotted a box on the kitchen table with a card addressed to Lils it was her father's writing. It was a birthday card and inside the box was a white gold snowflake backless. She smiled fondly within the card it had been written " like a snowflake your one of a kind Lils. Love you love dad”. She didn't place the necklace on as she didn't want to lose it.

 She started to run she had arrived at the location, she had met the creature a couple of nights ago. She frowned "I dont really think we should be here again Dark Eyes” 

 “Its fine we will shift as I want to look around, don't worry I will keep us safe.” Lilly gave in, she got herself undressed she was nervous a scream passed her lips as her bones began to break slowly. The burning overtook her body as her cries turned into howls slowly the pain and the burning stopped. The wolf had golden glowing eyes and Dark eyes had control. 

 “Yeah sorry about that Lilly but I forgot it would hurt again".
