Lilly - Dark Eyes

Lilly felt strange as if she was looking at the world through someone else's eyes. She was closer to the floor, but she was standing, she could see everything a lot clearer as she turned her head she could see the birds in the tree perfectly looking down at her even though it was night. She could even hear she bird breathing she shook her head she was going mad, even shaking her head felt strange. She walked forward she felt like she was wearing heavy shoes each step felt heavy, she looked down at her feet to see what was wrong. Only her normal feet was not what she saw, but large grey paws and nails. “ What the hell" she said inwardly to herself as she told her body to move and the paws responded, it was at that point she fell over whimpering it was as if she had forgotten how to move. She was getting, overwhelmed she cried out but what came to her ears was a howl. What was that? The howl stopped as she listened. 

She felt dizzy for a moment then she didn't feel anything, it was just her looking through her eyes but her body wasn't responding. She wasn't in control. 

“Yeah sorry about that, your stupid ness was starting to piss me off.” A familiar voice spoke in Lilly's head. Her body started to move but she wasn't moving it. The wolf took off running, smelling the ground and different plants as it moved with grace. Lilly got distracted for a moment by looking at the world.

“What's happening to me" Lilly didn't know If she would get a response, but she thought she would try.

“ I took over, you were rolling around like you had forgotten how to move I wasn't going to waste this night, so I took over.” 

“ Yes but who are you and what is this what have you took over” Lilly heard a growl escape the wolf's mouth it was getting, frustrated.

“You are a wolf, or I am your wolf your a werewolf I have been gifted to you by the goddess. You come from a long line of wolves, I have currently got control. It works both ways in your wolf form you can have control, and so can I, this is my body I am a wolf. When we change back you mainly have control, but I can take over, but we can constantly communicate. We can both choose to be quiet also .. you know if the other one is enjoying themselves. Like their first full wolf run” 

Lilly didn't take the hint “so you're saying I am a werewolf? “ She stayed silent for a moment thinking about this. She watched as the wolf approached the lake, she was looking into the water searching she was fishing. “ so, I can just take back control right now? Do I have to change like every full moon” 

She heard Dark Eyes laugh inside their head “No it's a choice, the moon gives you strength through when the moon is full we are stronger that's for sure. An as for control I'm not to sure how that works.” 

Lilly was learning to pick up on Dark Eyes tone and emotions they felt like her own but different as if she was observing the feelings. She watched as the wolf went into the water ducking its head under snapping as the fish moved. “Your not telling me the truth, you just want out I can take control” 

“I told you I could smell something.” The voice was male.

“This isn't the time to kill a wolf we would just be causing trouble, we will have our time soon with the packs.” The voice was female. 

“But it's on its own, and there are no packs this far out as far as we know. It must be a rough come on let's have some fun.” 

“ If it isn't a rough, and we kill it Lilith will be furious if we bring trouble to the door before her plans are put in place.” 

“It smells different, look at its eyes”

“There gold... we must report back. She will want to know this come on quickly.” 

Lilly and Dark Eyes were both silent staying very still listening. Lilly could feel the wolves fur was standing on end, and its tail was high. Once they had gone, and the sweet, but sickly smell had left her nose the wolf was moving quickly back towards the tents. 

“Dark Eyes what was that? They were talking about us right” 

“From their scent they are not our kind we need to get Ray and go back home before they are back. I need you to change back” 

“I would love to but I don't know how..” 

The wolf growled she had not thought this through they were both still learning. 

“ I need you to want to change back to human Lilly and quickly” 

“I told you I don't know how..” 

Lilly felt Dark Eyes getting frustrated once more as they came towards the tents. The sound of her dads snoring was loud. 

“Ray can never know what you are, by doing, so you are putting him at risk. We would have to kill him.. now change back.” 

What Dark Eyes had said horrified Lilly panic took over but Dark Eyes voice was loud and urgent in their head. The wolf started to howl drawing attention to itself.

“We will have to kill him if he sees” 

“Be quite then shut up we need more time” Lilly pleased with Dark Eyes. Lilly's tent was open it was positioned next to her fathers. Her father had stopped snoring the sound of the wolf had woken him he was frantically fiddling with the zip of his tent. 

“My teeth are ready to kill Ray if you don't change. You will have no control over my actions to stop me Lilly.” 

The wolf moved into the tent she heard Ray coming up behind her, his worried voice filled her ears “Lils love you ok" She could smell the metal of his gun as it clicked. She was facing away from the tent entrance she didn't want him to die. 

Ray moved the tent door to find his daughter naked on all fours “what the hell Lilly.” He quickly looked away knowing she was fine. “What are you doing with no clothes on, answering me with a quick yes dad would have been just fine.” 

She had done it she had changed back it was painless. She was tired. Dark Eyes voice filled her head.

“ A little motivation goes a long way doesn't it. Now get him to take us home."
