“Happy birthday!” We screamed as we walked into James’ room. We stopped singing when we saw James sitting up in bed with an angered look on his face.
“I don’t hear him…” He mumbled out as he looked towards the window. Everyone left quickly, except for Leonidas and I. We walked towards him and sat on the bed.
“Sweetheart, I didn’t hear my wolf until almost the end of my birthday…” I told him. I knew why he didn’t have a wolf, and it would pay off in the end, but I wanted him to figure it out for himself. I just wanted to keep him happy until he did.
