Chapter 63There could hardly be a happier creature in the world than Mrs. John Hill on this brief visit to Hartfield, where she walked around with her five children among her old acquaintances every morning and talked to her father and sister every night about what she had done. She had nothing else to wish for than that the days did not pass so quickly. It was a delightful visit; perfect as it was far too short.
In general, their evenings were less busy with friends than their mornings; but a complete dinner appointment, and also outside the house, was unavoidable, but at Christmas.
