Chapter 18

CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

“What!” Rowland exclaimed, this made people around turn towards them in puzzled and angry faces. “Do you know what you just said?” he asked, “why the shouting?” Elias asked, “didn’t you want me to go?”, “I remember yesterday you told me to think about it and I did”. “I’m just concerned that’s all” Rowland replied.

Raphael watched the both men with smiles on his face, he then spoke up “the friendly bond between you both is strong”, “thank you” they both chorused like they knew what each other would say. “Well, it’s time to rescue my friends” Elias finally said after a minute silence ensured between them.

“What happened?” Lucifer asked Benial who came back injured, barely walking while holding her waist, “Elias has grown exceptionally strong lord Lucifer” she said in pains. “He should be strong, after all he’s your superior” Lucifer said mocking her, “no my lord, this isn’t about superiority. I can’t just explain but I know what I felt, no demon has that kind of strength… it’s feels like… like he has the power of angels now” she said.

“Shut the hell up!” Lucifer commanded and the whole of hell shock as his voice echoes through the entire hell. Everywhere fell dead quiet. He stood from his throne and walked towards Benial, “you dare not describe Elias in such manner. I sent you on a mission and you failed.” Lucifer said, Benial shivered as he was just in front of her, “Yes my lord, I’m sorry” she apologized.

“No demon could just accomplish a simple task of bringing Elias here. No one is strong enough huh?” Lucifer asked the legions of demons that gathered around. “I’ll do it myself” he concluded walking to his throne to sit down, rate fuming all over him. 

No demon dared to say a word as they all watched him grumble to himself, hitting the armrest of his throne several times.

LUCIFER’S POV

“What is wrong? Why do I just feel helpless? Surrounding me is a host of demons at my command and none of them can bring just a little demon here. Why is everyone weak when it comes to accomplish just this task? Elias what is wrong with you? What have you become? What is going on with you on earth? You met with a human and became weak but when it comes to fighting with demons you become so strong and brave. What is it I am hearing, that you have the strength of angels. Is this true? It can’t be possible. I am the only one who has that kind of strength, no one here has it and you never did when you were here so how come?”

“Elias is here!” an out cry resonated across the halls of hell. “What in hell?” Lucifer said standing up from his throne.

A bell began to ring, movements were heard, Aza and Dinia startled as Holeash tapped at the cell bars vigorously, “it looks like your savior is here” he said mockingly, taking his hellhounds and leaving the cell.

Just at the gate of hell stood Elias with folded fists and on a fighting stance as he stood and watched as demons rushed to his direction, all assembling before him. 

“Lucifer!” He yelled, “Lucifer!!” “you don’t need to call my name twice” Lucifer said as he made his way through the multitude of demons. Standing in front of Elias, just at the first row of demons, he said “you really have the balls to descend to hell and dare call my name. No you didn’t have to call, you yelled my named and what did I hear in that tone? A command?”

Elias smiled and replied, “I really felt you would hide among them”. This statement made the devil laugh horribly before answering, “But to be honest, you really have the guts and what is it with you holding a fist and in a fighting stance?” he paused and observed Elias a second time. “Are you ready to fight all of us?” Lucifer asked as he walked majestically, beaming with a smile towards him.

 “I don’t need to fight all of them, I just need to fight you” Elias answered. A shout was heard across hell as these statement shocked the demons, “are you serious Elias?” Lucifer asked surprised. “I didn’t come here to joke. I challenge you to a duel in exchange that you release Aza and Dinia and you let us be” Elias answered him as he walked towards him. “Wow! This is going to be interesting and yes I agree to the terms”, Lucifer said as he, pulled his upper garment off, cracked his fingers, twisted his head and jumped twice warming up

THROW BACK

“You need to know the Devil is crafty” Raphael said to Elias as they sat in his office, “I know that Raph. Remember I have been with him for 3000 years since we fell.” Elias answered. “Now the problem is how should I dress for this fight?” he asked standing up and walking to the window. “I just hope you’re not asking me for a suggestion?” Raphael asked turning towards the direction Elias was. “Off course I am, who else is here aside you?” Elias answered putting his hands into his trousers’ pockets. 

“Well don’t bother answering that” he said, bringing out his smartphone and tapping on it. “What are you doing?” Raphael asked still sitting. “I just ordered a taekwondo cloth with a black belt” Elias replied. “what?” Raphael asked, laughing out so loud.

“What in hell is funny?” Elias asked puzzled, “no human clothing can withstand the flames of hell i***t” Raphael cursed. “Oh! I forgot” Elias replied tapping his head with his palm, “stupid me” he added laughing at himself. “So I don’t need any dress then. I just need to get there and fight him with hell garments”.

“So tell me why must I fight Lucifer? Why can’t I just go to the cell room where Dinia and Aza is kept and free them?” Elias asked this time turning towards Raphael. “The main reason you have to fight him, is to win and shame him in front of all demons making them doubt his strength” Raphael pointed out. “That would be too bad because Lucifer hates being defeat” Elias said touching his chin

“Then go and defeat the devil. Make him agree to release your friends if you defeat him and off course you will. But note you have to create a scene that would draw the whole of hell to you. You have to make them watch the fight” Raphael pointed out. “That’s not a problem at all. I know how to do that” Elias smiled.

“Okay then, it means my job on earth is over then” Raphael said and disappeared.
