CHAPTER FIFTY-SEVEN

Meanwhile at Aza and Dinia’s eatery, Aza leaned on the counter while Dinia stood at the other side of the counter that was in the kitchen “we have operated this eatery for 6 months now, don’t you think we should rebrand? Aza suggested facing Dinia.

Dinia who was washing the dishes replied him, “someone is really reading books lately” and Aza laughed, “well you are right, we need to rebrand and package ourselves to meet the current demands of the customers” she added. “So what do you suggest?” she asked as she dropped a plate at the plate rack.

“Fiirstly we need to change our name from Aza and Dinia’s eatery to something more unique and inviting, then high a good digital marketer to use the social media like f*******: to market for us.” Aza mentioned, “Okay?” she answered him listening attentively to what her boyfriend was saying

“You know the world is more of digital so I was thinking we should open a website and create an app where customers can order food online and we deliver it to them in their houses” Aza continued. “You are right Aza, but all these needs money and we don’t have that enough money to do all of this plus I have been thinking of doing some inner decorations too” Dinia replied

“Excellent, let us use the money we have and ask Elias for more. I am sure he would do something for us if not to sponsor the rebranding process” Aza said smiling. “Well you have a point there even if I don’t like going to him for money that is why I opened this eatery at the first place. Dinia replied, “but we shall try” she added as she watched a smile lit up Aza’s face.

Elias’ phone rang and looking at the caller it was Agatha, “Hello my darling “he said smiling to himself, “I’m done at work, I want to know if you are done too?”she said over the phone, “I’m almost done but I will come to pick you soon. Just wait for me I’ll be on my way now,” Elias replied closing the files in front of him as he prepared to leave.

He first went over to Rowland’s house and said, “I’ll be going to pick up Agatha from her workplace, so if you care to join me you can come later to the house. There is a feast about to go down there” he talked about the celebration which he has already planned in his heart.

“Don’t tell me, that you are skipping work and going to meet a woman” Rowland asked, “that is what I mean” Elias answered with smiling. “do not worry, I’ll be back as soon as possible. I’m not done with the few files on my table” he added as he left Rowland’s office.

Elias drove whistling all the way to Agatha’s office, “so this is how love is?” he asked himself, “Aza and Dinia has really been enjoying and I have been missing out on what this love is offering” he thought as turned a corner to pack.

At that moment, he could see Agatha at the other side of the road with her bag in her right hand. He waved to her signalling her, that she should cross over. She smiled when seeing him and prepared to cross. 

Just then a truck driver who was eating while driving turned. He was on moderate speed but Agatha didn’t see him, as she concentrated on her love that was at the other side of the road waiting for her.

Elias saw what was about to happen, as the driver hit his breaks when he saw Agatha get into the way. Everyone yelled as an accident was about to happen. Agatha who was now at the middle of the road turned and saw this truck coming towards her. She was shocked and as a result transfixed at that spot. She closed her eyes expecting a collision by the truck and her body.

After a while, she opened her eyes when she could not feel anything. She found herself in Elias’ arms at the side of the road in which she crossed from. “What happened?” she asked slowly, still recovering from this shock, “You are fine now” Elias responded still carrying her in his arms.

“How did I? How am I in your arms?” she asked as she couldn’t fix the puzzle that laid before her, “you shouldn’t worry about that my love, what matter is that you are safe now” Elias replied carrying her towards his car.

Elias just then remembered what Rowland said to him in the office, “what if something wrong is about coming”, he immediately became grateful he still had his powers. “So this is how I would have lost Agatha” he thought to himself as he drove.

Agatha curled herself on the car seat, still virtualizing the event that just happened few minutes ago. Everything she wrote on her bucket list flashed through her head. She looked at Elias who was driving, asking herself “how did he get to me?”. 

After an hour of silence, Elias spoke up, “so where should we go to, your house or mine?”, “Which ever one you choose” she replied. Elias nodded and turned to the direction that lead to his house. “Thank you” Agatha said finally which brought smiles on Elias’ face, “its my pleasure” he replied taking a glance at her and then to the road.

Meanwhile Rowland wondered why Elias wasn’t back yet, files where dropped on his table for approval and signing, “Elias needs to do his today. He has to be serious with this company” he thought, picking his phone to call him. 

“Helo Rowland” Elias said through the phone after it had rang twice, “where are you now, you need to come back to the office, there are pending and important files that needs your approval today” Rowland pointed out. “Bring them home for me will you? I will be grateful” Elias replied, “this means you are not coming back?” Rowland asked and got a reply, “Yes, something happened and you need to hear this but that would be when you come over. Right now I am at home and watching over Agatha, she is still in shock”.
