Chapter 31

CHAPTER THIRTY-ONE

“It’s time!” Lucifer said smiling. Behind him were 30 demons ready for his orders. Reckon who was beside him smiled, “Finally Elias, you will be wiped off from the face of the earth.” He thought to himself, “you always feel I am inferior to you because you were given the privilege to be strong. Now you are powerless and have no where to go to. I’ll make sure there is no trace of you anywhere”.

In a mortuary on earth, the attendant came into the room to check out the condition after the earthquake. Some refrigerator doors were opened, two bodies that laid on he table in front of him were now on the floor. “This is really a great work for me but I can’t do all these alone. I’ll call Alfred” he thought to himself as he made his way out of the room.

Just then, the two bodies on the ground opened their eyes and got up. Those in the refrigerators got out, “This human body is still fresh” one of them spoke, “Quit talking and lets find the remaining of the men. Remember what Lucifer said in hell, we march as a group” another replied as they made their way out.

“Ahhhh!!” the attendants screamed on seeing the once dead people walking out of the mortuary. “what in the hell?” one of them said hiding under his table.

Lucifer appeared at the door, beside him Reckon, “is there anyone left behind?” he asked his demons, “no my lord, everyone that chose this place is here” one of the demon replied. “Okay” Lucifer said nodding, “Reckon go get the rest, today we storm Elias house”. Reckon bowed as he disappeared.

Checking the time on his wristwatch, Elias who was now restless due to the anxiety he felt, left his room and walked outside his house. He exhaled on getting there, watching around. Everyone walked, whispering to themselves, “poor humans, we have caused you a lot of trouble” Elias said sympathizing, “I hope tonight marks the end. I just hope”.

The door opened as Aza ran out, “Elias I’ve gotten my powers back”, he said, “I just ran out here with super speed” he added smiling. “I’m glad you have gotten your powers back because it is about time” Elias replied pointing in front of them. Aza who was facing Elias turned towards the direction Elias pointed and saw some men walking towards them from afar. They looked pale and mean and their movements were swift.

“It’s time” Elias said smiling at Aza who folded his fingers into a fist and made a fighting stance. “where’s Dinia?” Elias asked, “She’ll join us shortly” Aza replied, “are you ready Elias?” he asked, “more than you think” was the reply he got.

“Did I miss anything?” Dinia asked as she came out of the house, “the party is yet to begin” Elias answered, “nice I came on time” she replied, forming a fighting stance. “So what’s the plan?” Aza asked turning towards Elias, “Fight and watch each other’s back” he answered with a smile.

“I can’t see Lucifer” Aza said scanning through the charging men, “neither can I see Reckon” Dinia added, “this is the first wave, they will show up pretty soon” Elias replied, ‘Just remain focused” he advised. At that moment, the demons were closed enough, “Be safe” Elias said charging at them, which they followed suit.

Meanwhile Rowland sat in front of his wall clock with his daughter sleeping on his laps, thought, “what could be happening now, it’s just 3am and everywhere is unusually quiet. I just hope Elias is safe”.

“They don’t seem to get hurt” Aza said, throwing a punch at a demon who fell to he ground, “why are they using dead human’s skin?” he asked, “not every demon have the privilege to visit earth transforming as they visit” Elias replied, “that’s why they possessed the dead” he further explained.

Just then, Elias noticed he had been fighting and never got tired. His punches sent demons falling few meters away. “I’m back” he smiled sending another demon flying with his punches.

Lucifer and Reckon observed from a far as these three fought fiercely without any trace of weakness. “where did they get this courage from?” he asked, “When did they become so strong?” “I can’t seem to understand” he added. Reckon replied, “No one has been able to lay a hand on them my lord. What is going on?” “it seemed they’ve gotten their powers back but it seems different” the devil noted.

“Yes my lord, I’ve noticed it but how? Were they hiding it ever since? Acting weak?” Reckon asked trying to figure out the mystery behind the unusual strength Elias, Aza and Dinia had.

“What!” Lucifer exclaimed when he noticed some of the bodies we’re not getting up any longer, “what just happened?” he asked in confusion. He couldn’t believe what he saw and this made him angry.

He clinched his fist, his eyes turned red and his voice grew deeper, “We need to attack them now” he said stepping forward. Reckon followed suit feeling enraged on how Elias was getting the upper hand in the fight.

“Here they are” Aza said on sighting the two superior beings approaching, “you know the plan” Elias replied smiling. Aza got a hint and made his way towards Reckon. “I hope you can handle them?” Elias asked Dinia who just broke the skull of a demon, “off course, go ahead. The sooner you defeat Lucifer, the sooner this fight stops” she said smiling. “Okay” he replied and charged towards the devil.

“You really wish to die” Reckon said to Aza as they both faced each other, “you would need to shut up and fight” Aza replied mocking him. “You’ll regret this” Reckon said and sent a punch across Aza’s face getting him. “You’ve grown weak” Aza mocked again making Reckon more angry who in turn sent another punch but missed.
