Mia's POV
Nerves bubble in my stomach as we approach the pack house of the Paxton Pack. I know that Thomas and the Luna of this pack have a history together, I am just not sure how deep it goes.
Thomas pulls our car alongside the pack house like has been here many times before. Glancing at him out of the corner of my eyes I see that he has a death grip on the steering wheel. His knuckles are white as he twists the leather of the wheel in his hands. Finally, he turns to me and tilts my head so I am staring into his eyes.
"Nothing happened between Emma Paxton and me," he tells me. "I thought I was in love with her but now that I know you, I know that it was nothing more than infatuation."
