Possession of the dark

Chapter 6: Seo Yuan should have listened. She should have stayed away. But Min Yoon-gi was impossible to ignore. Days passed since their last encounter, yet his presence clung to her like a shadow. The whispers about him only grew louder, but none of them answered the one question she couldn’t stop asking. Why does he affect me like this? But she wasn’t the only one haunted. Min Yoon-gi had spent years controlling himself—his emotions, his desires. But Seo Yuan? She was unraveling him. And tonight, he snapped. --- The Breaking Point The tension between them had been simmering for too long. And when Yoon-gi saw another man’s hand on her, something in him broke. The night was thick with cigarette smoke and the low hum of music as Seo Yuan stood in the dimly lit lounge. Ji Hoon had brought her here—another business gathering, another night where she felt like she didn’t belong. But the moment she turned, she felt it. A presence. Her breath caught as Min Yoon-gi leaned against the wall, watching her like a predator. But his expression was different this time. His gaze was dark, dangerous—furious. She followed his line of sight and realized what he was looking at. A man. Someone she barely knew had placed a hand on her arm, laughing, too close. It meant nothing to her—just a passing moment. But Yoon-gi? He saw red. And before she could react, he was there. A blur of black and silver. With one swift motion, Yoon-gi grabbed her wrist and pulled her away. She gasped as she was dragged through the lounge, past curious stares, down a dark hallway. She should have resisted—but she didn’t. Her back hit the cold wall of an empty room, and before she could speak, he was in front of her, his hands caging her in. "Do you enjoy testing me, Yuan?" His voice was low, rough. Her chest heaved. "What the hell are you talking about?" His jaw clenched. "Him. Touching you." He exhaled sharply. "You let him." A shiver ran through her. Not fear. Something else. Seo Yuan lifted her chin. "It wasn’t a big deal." Wrong answer. Yoon-gi leaned in, his breath warm against her ear. "It was to me." Something snapped between them. Before she could think, before she could breathe—his lips crashed against hers. It wasn’t soft. It wasn’t careful. It was possessive, raw, desperate. Seo Yuan barely had time to react before his hands gripped her waist, pulling her flush against him. Every part of him—strong, unyielding—pressed into her, as if proving a point. And she hated how much she wanted it. A gasp escaped her as he bit down on her lower lip, sending a jolt of heat straight through her veins. He swallowed her sound, deepening the kiss, his hands sliding up her sides, his grip firm—like he wanted to leave a mark. "Tell me to stop," he muttered against her lips. She couldn’t. Her hands fisted into his shirt, pulling him closer instead. That was all he needed. A low growl rumbled from his chest as he spun them around, lifting her onto the table behind them. His lips trailed down her jaw, hot, demanding, while his hands roamed over her body, memorizing, claiming. Seo Yuan’s head spun. She should have pushed him away. She should have said no. But instead, she whispered the one thing that ruined them both. "Yoon-gi…" He stilled. Something flickered in his eyes—something vulnerable, something dangerous. And then, he kissed her again, like she belonged to him. ---
