Chapter 25Dane wasn’t answering his texts, which wouldn’t be so weird if he hadn’t seemed so concerned for Sean earlier. He’d even mentioned he’d be back, and while that was before Sean had gone to meet Aurora, Sean wasn’t getting a good feeling from this. He tried texting once more, waited four minutes, then called. He hadn’t really expected Dane to answer, but it only made him feel worse.
“Call me when you get this.” Sean didn’t know why he was bothering to leave a message. “And you’d better not be doing anything I’d tell you not to.” The asshole. He probably was. Sean hesitated. “Love you.”
He wasn’t going to wait for Dane to respond. He mentally ran through a list of probable places Dane was, then pulled his phone back out and texted Mark.
