MY LOVE _ MY SAVIOR

{CHAPTER 7} STARTING ALL OVER!

I stared at the man i had called my dad for years and I couldn't recognize him anymore... just few weeks of Aunt Cath being here and dad changed this much! wow!

"Can I atleast picked the gifts my mom gave me?" I said in almost quiet tone

"Young lady are you deaf! you will leave this house with nothing! even my wife would be so disappointed in you!" he said

I sighed and turned around and made to leave but he stopped me and collected my phone!

"I bought that too! now you can leave if you want to!"

I looked at all of them for one last time before leaving.

HOLDEN'S POV

I've been looking for her for days... I even had to check her resume myself and told them to hire her just so i could have the chance to talk to her, but she outrightly declined the job..... I guess she really doesn't want to see me now.

My assistant had searched everywhere for her, it was like she didn't want to be found.

(knocks) "Who's there?"

"It's me boss" Shepard replied

"Boss, I think we may have gathered infos on her" Shepard said handing me a file.

I opened it immediately, It was her!

"Melissa Anderson, she's the only daughter of Jason Anderson who lost his wife recently" Shepard explained

"You mean the same Anderson? why would she chose to work here when her father's company is doing well?"

"I think her father remarried, she moved out not long after...but we still don't know where she went..."

"It's alright,keep looking out for more.. you can get back to work now ".

MELISSA'S POV

It's been over a month now.... dad had called twice but I didn't pick, he pushed me away! And I'm going to prove to him that I am not the Melissa he used to know....

Anna had allowed me stay at her place,

Flashback......

I knocked weakly on her door , "Who's there?"

She's home Thank God!, she opened the door and stared at me in shock

"Mel! is that you? what's wrong?" she pulled me in and wiped my tears

I took my time to explain everything that had happened " Had to walk here, there's literally nothing on me..., he took my phone and card "

"OMG! so sorry Mel, It's okay.... everything will be fine, it's just a phase....., you can stay here as long as you want alright" She held me in her arms and patted me like a baby. Comfort!

End of flashback........

Mel came in with a plate of pancakes... just the way I love it, I stretched my arm to take it but the smell sent me "Grrrrhhhh" I ran to the restroom and threw up. Throwing up, It's becoming consistent

"Mel don't you think you throwing up is becoming consistent lately? " Anna stood by the door with her arms crossed

"Was just about to say that, but what could be the cause" then I realized!

"Am I pregnant?! no that can't be! it's not true right?"

Anna just stood there, mouth agape "When was your last period?" She asked unsure

I was about to reply when I realized I have gotten it since the incident! and it's could only mean one thing... I'm pregnant for a total stranger!

I stared at Anna for a long time either of us unsure what to say or where to start...

"Get dressed we are going to the hospital "

"But.... what if he sees me?" I asked scared, I haven't been going out with the fear that he might see my anywhere.

"But you can't stay huddled up in here forever you know... And we need to know if there's really a baby in there" she said pointing to my tummy.

After so much persuasion, I finally decided to go.

At the hospital, we paid the necessary fees and went for the test, we then sat patiently waiting for the result.

The result came few minutes later, I was so scared to look at it so Anna did.

"Baby it's positive " she said staring into my eyes as if trying to take in my emotions.

It felt like a thousand ice cubes had just been dumped on me... I felt cold all over and my knees went weak, I squatted and stayed there for a while, I thought I felt pain when I left home... but no this was the real pain! It felt like my whole world, came crashing around me, I'm just 23 with no job or any source of income! how do I take care of a baby?!.

Anna pulled me up after few minutes and we headed home

I crashed out as soon as we got home, but she pulled me closer with teary eyes.

"We will be just fine, I seriously don't know how or when, but trust me we'll be fine alright" She tried to assure me but I wasn't having it....

HOLDEN'S POV

Shepard came in rushing, "Boss we just got an information from the hospital "

Immediately I understand what he was talking about.... I had asked him to keep checking every hospital to look out for her... Maybe I was right....

"Okay so.... which hospital and why was she there?"

"The Gray's corp and yes she's pregnant.... it states here that she's five weeks gone" I took the result from him... i checked and calculated.... It's that night! I've never been so sure...

"We need to find her quickly! For her to do the test here, it means she's here!"

"One of the nurses said she came with her friend and the only friend she has according to her file was one Anna who is an orphan living few kilometers away from here" Shepard explained

"Then let's go find her!" We hurriedly got out of the office, and left immediately.

We got there around thirty minutes later and we asked about her around, a neighbor was kind enough to point the apartment to us.

We went over and I knocked..... It took a while before the door was opened and a young lady about her age came out... "Hello how may I help you?" She looked like she had been crying .

"Erm hi, am here to see a Lady, she's about your age... Her name's Melissa"

She stared at me like she was assessing me "And who might you be?"

"Just someone who really needs to see her, please" She stared at me unsure whether to let me in but I begged her profusely and she did. I went in while Shepard stayed outside.

She was curled up on the bed, with tissue in her hand... She had been crying!

Immediately she saw me, she lost it! She charged at me like a predator,

"Why are you here?! why are you here! you wicked demon! Haven't you done enough??" She yelled.

"Listen, I totally understand how feel right now...... being pregnant for a random guy, I know... I totally understand you, but please you need to hear me out! That night..." She suddenly cut me off

"How did you know am pregnant?? Answer me how did you know?! have you been tailing me??"

"No I haven't, but please that's not what's important right now, can we just talk?" She insisted on not wanting to talk to me .... And her friend told me to leave but I begged her... I almost went on my knees, but she wasn't having it..... she kicked me out but I didn't stop... I had to talk to her, she's pregnant with my child.

After so much pleading from Shepard and I, her friend finally decided to let us in...

We went in and her friend tried to calm her down

"Calm down Mel, it's just conversation right? Trust me I'll be ready to kick them out if they tries something stupid alright " Her friend said and with that she calmed down and I sat....
