PULL OF FATE

1030 Words
Meanwhile, Viktor Travious was restless He had left the meeting with the executives and investors an hour ago, leaving them confused but he didn't care. For now, all he wanted was to find out what was wrong with his wolf, his head was burning, the severe pain he was feeling made it unable for him to think, his muscles tensed and he could feel a pull but he still couldn't understand what was going on. He struggled to sit at a place, his senses sharpened like a predator scenting its prey, but no, this wasn't prey, it was her, he was sure of it. At the same moment Elordi and Leonard walked into the hotel room, they didn't understand why the supreme Alpha left a very important meeting halfway. “My mate is near” Viktor could feel it all over him, the realization hit him really hard, he had hoped but without an expectation, his golden eyes flashed dangerously and his wolf came out to the surface. There was no way he could control it this time. Elordi and Leonard were dumbfounded. “Viktor?” Beta Elordi's voice was edged with concern, "Are you sure of what you are feeling?” Elordi knew that was a stupid question but he couldn't help but ask, Viktor was without a mate for one thousand years, who gets a mate after one thousand years but then he also knew how strong a mate bond was, he had a mate himself, so it couldn't be a false feeling. Viktor's jaw tightened, there was no denying this, the scent, the intoxicating pull was growing stronger, invading his every thought and clouding his mind, his head was about to split into two. He didn't answer, neither did he spare Elordi or Leonard a glance, before he stormed out of the hotel room. His movements were swift, controlled but barely contained. Each step he took the scent pulled him harder, Elordi and Leonard hurried after him, exchanging wary looks with each other, “Viktor, you need to calm down” Leonard tried to catch up with him but Viktor gaze was locked ahead with a dark and possessive hunger, he got to the first room at the beginning of the long corridor. “She's heard.” A growl erupting from his chest, he felt the need to calm down but his wolf was not helping matters. This wasn't a war against witches or a company strategy because he was fighting a war he knew he would not win. His mate was close, finally after so long and no one, not even fate itself will be able to take her away from him. ================================================= Kaira Thompson exhaled, as she adjusted her cleaning skirt, the only reason she had agreed to work in the hotel was because she didn't want any trouble but then it wasn't like she even had choice. This wasn't the life she wanted, she wanted peace and a break from all the troubles her aunt and cousin constantly give her. She had finished cleaning the bathrooms, she wiped her hands on her uniform and walked into the bedroom, the moment she bent down to clean the bed side table, she felt uneasy. Goosebumps filled her entire body, the kind that made her aware of her surrounding, she couldn't shake the strong feeling that someone was watching her. She turned around slowly, and there she saw him. A man stood in the doorway, he looked tall and refined except that his midnight black hair was a bit messy, he looked wealthy on the outside but it was his eyes that made her stomach turn, he looked at her with an intensity that made her heart beat faster. “You're new here,” the man said with a smooth voice, stepping inside. Kaira's grip on the cleaning cloth tightened. “I'm just here to clean, sir.” The man smirked as he walked closer to Kaira, too close she could feel his breath on her face, he bent down to her eye level and he licked his lips. “Shame. I would prefer it if you were here for me.” Kaira's breath hitched and her instincts screamed at her to run, to leave immediately. She took a small step back and the man followed. Then— A low, rumbling growl. But it didn't come from the man before her, it came from behind him, and suddenly, the man before her was pulled backwards and slammed into the wall with a brutal force. A new presence filled the entire room, it was massive, powerful and and emitted pure rage. All the efforts Supreme Alpha Viktor Travious put forward to enable himself calm down before he met his mate went to nothing, his eyes dimmed dangerously, flickering between red and gold, his wolf was back to surface roaring angrily. Kaira's heart sank as she tried to understand what was happening. Everything happened so fast, too fast that her brain couldn't process it. Viktor had already moved before he thought, his grip on the man's throat tightened, his voice was dark with barely restrained fury, “ You touched what's mine.” The made choked with his eyes wide with fear,”M-Mr. Travious–” He was extremely confused, he couldn't understand what was going on or what was happening, one moment he was standing before the beautiful girl, the next moment he was being pinned to the wall by Mr. Viktor Travious. “How dare you!” Viktor bared his fangs at the man, his claws threatening to pierce into his skin. “ Supreme Alpha, let him go.” Elordi stepped forward, his voice calm but firm, he bent his head in submission to not trigger the angry Lycan. But Viktor Travious wasn't listening, his mind was clouded. He turned around, his eyes locked onto Kaira's small frame. On his mate, his entire world had shifted the moment he stepped into this room and saw her, even in his anger, he could still fell the joy in his heart. His mate. His fate. His own. But yet– She looked at him with intense fear evident in her eyes.
