Old crimes and new lives
There was strong evidence that Carlos and Amelie Traunberger had been in love. The officers found a photo of the two in Carlos' wallet, which was also hidden in the garden shed. Carlos and Amelie looked into the camera, smiling lovingly in a tight embrace. The evidence retrieved in the shed not as poor as at the location where Amelie's body was found. The investigators were able to secure a few of Amelie's personal items, too. In addition, DNA that was clearly Frederik’s was detected on Carlos' vest. There were even traces of Frederik's blood on it! A red scrap of fabric - part of Amelie's dress that Tak and Daniel had found in the forest - provided a further hint.
