Chapter 3: HEIR TO THE DEVIL

1106 Words
Janet was out of breath when she arrived the park. It was already evening. The trees and sculptures in the darkness were immersed in the dim streetlamp light. She immediately started searching for Harvey.   “Harvey! Harvey Hikins I’m Miss Johnson! Please answer if you can hear me!” She shouted desperately. “And the kidnapper, you’re committing crime! Release my student!”   “Oh la la. See who’s here.”   That voice again. They were in the washroom, but the door was locked from inside.   “Miss Johnson!!” That was Harvey! He sounded like his head was push in the water (toilet?) when he spoke. What is these bastards doing to my student…… She clenched her fists.   “Get out! Get out!!!” She pounded on the door using her full strength. “Let me see him…I beg you……who are you!!!”   Suddenly she was captured by the arms by two boys from the back. She couldn’t move nor touch the door now.    “Harvey… don’t hurt Harvey, please, please……it’s not right……” She begged.   The door opened, and a tall, slim boy walked out: “I’m not your student so don’t teach me to do things. My buddy was upset to have a teacher like you. You’re gonna pay for what you did. ”   She couldn’t believe her ears. He said, his buddy?   Her student planned all this?   Janet didn’t aware that the crying had stopped minutes ago. She saw her student, who she thought was kidn*pped, standing behind the tall boy with a mocking smile. He walked out cheerfully. Harvey was small compared to his peers. But he looked like the leader in this group.   Her wrists were tied from behind. They were all teenage boys, but already strong enough to kidnap an adult woman.   Everything was a lie. She was the one who got kidn*pped.   She gave up her dream and became a teacher because she never wanted to see bullying again. How sarcastic.   “You b***h like period huh? Give what she wants. ”   Harvey ordered. Then some boys went near to her with a huge bag in hand. They poured out the things in the bag – sanitary pads, of course.   “She likes these gross stuffs. So let’s drown her hahahahhahaaha!!!!”   She was bullied again. Even when she was a teacher.   ***********************************   This may sound weird, but when Janet Johnson was bullied and laughed by her own student, her thoughts were going wild.   Carrie huh? Classic. I love Stephen King and Chloë Grace Moretz.   The scenes in the movie flowed in her brain. She almost forgot the circumstance she was at.   “What is this b***h looking at?”   In fact, she was not looking at anything. Just staring at the air because she was enjoying the excitement.   “Wake up Janet!”   A sudden name-calling awakened her from her fantasies. When she realized she was still tied, she saw a man standing there, surrounded by the aggressive teenagers.   “Matt? Why are you…… wait are you going to have a fight with them?”   “I think it’s them who want to have a fight with ME.” Matt replied. “Harvey Hikins, don’t learn from your brother.”   “Don’t tell me what to do! Go beat these two idiots!” Harvey screamed and his companions, but they were hesitating if they should attack this man altogether or not.   “For your reference, I won a champion in Karate in college. And Miss Johnson is actually better at Karate than me. You can have a try boys.”   It was true. Janet, despite having the appearance of an innocent young girl who looked afraid of every danger in this world, had been taught Karate since her childhood. Of course, by her ex-police dad Jack.   But why Matt knows this? Never mind. Not interested in his friendship with dad.   Janet sighed: “Don’t threaten teenagers Mr Turing. I believe you were taught this in college.”   The boys looked at each other and finally decided to run away. It seemed Harvey’s buddies were not as loyal as he thought. He was stopped by Matt’s palm when he was going to leave.   “A fight between real men? Or you can challenge the master if you like.” Matt meant Janet.   “I…I…” Harvey was much frightened facing a man who was much taller and stronger than him. Although Matt still wore his suits, his beautiful muscles were recognizable.   “Let me go home……” He was almost going to cry. Matt released him and he ran away immediately.   So that’s it? Janet thought. Well it’s good that nobody got hurt. But what was these teenage boys thinking when they decided to kidnap their teacher?   “You remember Hugh? Harvey is his little brother. ”   Hugh was their classmate in high school, and also a member of Matt’s “group”. Janet had never talked to him in school so she almost forgot this boy after she graduated.   Matt untied her wrist. Janet rubbed them and felt a little sore. She was confused.   Were bad boys born bad? The answer may be yes due to some psychological research. But look at Matt, he has grown to a good citizen. Wait, I’m not saying something nice of him……   Matt said, staring at her: “So do you want to say something to me?”   “Say something? Well the boys were weird but I think we should not give up on them……”   Matt smiled bitterly. He poked her cheeks with his both forefingers. Her cheeks were soft and smooth as silk. She looked so innocent and…... stupid.   “I mean ‘say something to who saved you’. You can understand English right?” He didn’t look angry, but his fingers pressed more strength on her cheeks as if they were going to make holes there.   (=。=)   Oh I get it. That two words huh?   “It hurts.”   He rolled his eyes and gave up on her. “Fine. You can go home now Miss Johnson.”   She smiled mischievously.   “Or you mean, thank you?”
