Servants quickly brought out heavy cloaks to drape over our shoulders against the cool night air. My brothers flanked me protectively as we stepped out of the grand ballroom and into the courtyard. A beautiful open carriage waited for us. It was made of dark polished wood decorated with silver Frost Fang Pack runes and pulled by four strong white horses. Lanterns glowed softly along its sides, surrounding us with warm golden light. My father helped me up first, then climbed aboard to stand beside me.
