I saw everything

Exhausted.  That is the exact word that can describe what Ellena was feeling right now.  Too many items to scan.  Too many bags to carry.  Too many obnoxious rich and famous customers.  Too many questions, yet the answers are few.  Add to that, the eight straight hours of standing in front of her computer, encoding all the item prices and still should be able to  hold a sweet and friendly smile on her face.  Ye,s that is what a cashier do everyday.  They are not allowed to get tired.  "I am doing this for you Ellie."  "I promised myself that I will do everything I can to know what really happened to you in this mall."  Tears suddenly falling, arms and legs aching, Ellena slowly walked towards the locker room to get her belongings and to finally go home for today.  "Duty's over eh?", asked Miss M, Ellena's supervisor at the mall.  "Indeed ma'am, can't wait to go home", Ellena answered back while trying to hold her tears from falling.  "Good night then and see you tomorrow."  "Oh! By the way Ellena do you know someone who works here before you were hired?"  "Ahmm, no one ma'am, why did you ask?", confused, Ellena thought she was talking about her sister.  "Well, just now a man was asking about you.  He said he has something to give you."  Now, Ellena is really bewildered of that man was.  "Where is he ma'am?"  "Did he say who he was?", asked her.  "No, I met him in the locker room just about five minutes ago. He was just asking where were you and I said you're still on duty, I think.  Maybe he is still there waiting for you.  You should go and see for yourself." "Ellena!"  "Oh hello there Sam, going home?"  "Nah! Just on a break.  I will be working overtime tonight.  Sir Chris wanted to..."  "Oh, hey Sam have you seen someone, I mean a man, here just about now or maybe five minutes ago?  Miss M told me she met a man here looking for me."  Looking around the locker room, Sam shook his head.  "No one was here when I arrived. Hey, I gotta go now Ellena.  Bye and see you tomorrow", raising both his hands and waving them back and forth.  "Oh, did you say five minutes ago?"  "Yes, Sammy, that's what Miss M told me."  "Well, I was waiting for my shift here close to ten minutes ago.  Didn't see nobody coming in.  Not a man, not even Miss M.  Anyways, tomorrow then, bye-bye."  There was a very puzzled look on Ellena's face by now.  What does Sammy meant by not seeing anyone, even Miss M?  "Ouch, my neck hurts.  I really need to get home."  Ellena took her locker's key from her ID lanyard and quickly tried to open the padlock .  As she opened her locker, a piece of paper came rolling down and fell on the floor.  Ellena didn't mind it at first and quickly took her bags and folders and shut her locker door  tight.  She was about to take a step towards the door when she thought maybe the piece of paper that fell down from her locker was from her folder.  Important document maybe, she asked herself.  So she walked three steps back and took the paper from the floor.  It was folded into four sides.  As she opened it, she was very shocked to read what was written.  "I SAW EVERYTHING!  I SAW WHAT HAPPENED TO ELLIE!"  Ellena crumpled the piece of paper and hurried herself out of the locker room, running, looking for someone, looking for a suspicious man who might be the one who left the note inside her locker.  She ran towards the left hallway but nothing suspicious at all there. Only other employees wishing to get off duty like herself.  She ran towards the right hallway.  Empty.  No one was there.  Her hands were trembling now.  Who could he be?  Where is he?  What the hell is it that he knows about my sister?  What really happened to her?  Ellena wanted to scream at this point but she couldn't.  People might suspect.  People might see her as a lunatic.  Ellena couldn't think of a way to answer all her questions.  "I should go home first and rest, but how can I rest with this?", looking at the piece of paper left in her locker by a total stranger.  Ellena wanted to use the stairs to go down from the 5th floor but her legs are now shaking from running so she opted to use the elevator.  She pressed the down button and after roughly three minutes the elevator door opened.  "Going down?" a husky voice said.  "Yes please.  Thank you sir".  "No problem", the man said in a much lower tone.   Going down from the 5th floor to ground floor seemed like a long journey for Ellena.  Here she was, tired with body pains all over from working.  Then, there was the note from a man no one has seen, except Miss M, but Sammy said he didn't even see Miss M, so how could that possibly be then?  And now this.  A good-looking guy, who seems to be smiling at her for no reason.  "Is there something funny? or do I look funny?  I really need a clear mirror right now to see my face" she thought.  "Or maybe, you like me huh?  All you have to do is ask for my name" she told herself.  "Tiiiiinnnngggg".  Ground floor. The elevator door now has opened but the man inside didn't seem to like to go out.  "Maybe he wants me to go out first?"  "Wow, a gentleman, in this day and age.  That's something."  Ellena faced the man inside and said thanks for pressing the elevator button for her.  "Good night sir.  I hope you enjoyed your visit to our mall.  Please come again and maybe try to shop at Ellie's superstore at the third level. Thank you for choosing Ellie's, the place where everything and everyone matters."  Ellena turned around again and bit her upper lip.  She couldn't believe she said all those things in a hurry.  The manager clearly said in her training day that all employees should greet and say their thank you's to all customers in a polite manner.  She also said that we should talk slowly so they could hear every word and understand it and smile sincerely because  what if they are "spies" from the rival malls and are just snooping around or the mall's managers or even the CEO.
