THIRTY Mandy sat herself in what had to be an original, curvilinear, 1930’s brown leather armchair, oversized even for her body, and although she was tall, she felt the insides of her knees pressing on the edge of the cushion. The impression she had was the furniture in this, not insubstantial shed, was themed for the decade around World War two. She didn’t know what Winston Churchill’s bunker had looked like, but she sensed the shed interior may be modelled on it? It had that ambience.
