While Jack and Mandy were billing and cooing, Jo Jums was galvanising her team. She had already arranged for the Sissies (Serious Crime Unit) to reinforce her team and was coordinating the feedback from the scene, processing, and via Frankie, feeding that information to MI5. When Alice returned from the hospital she reported to Jo and the commander on Jack’s condition, firmly suggesting Mandy not be contacted, and more than suggested Jo should do the press conference. Jo looked at Alice, the girl was assertive and clearly upset. Something else was there, Jo was not sure what it was, but her antennae was rarely wrong, unlike Jack’s itchy eye socket, which was rarely right.
It was agreed, Jo would do the press briefing with the commander and this was causing her a degree of anguish. S
