Barrow-boy - Originally the term used to describe a London street hawker, commonly selling fruit and vegetables from a barrow, often used to describe a social climber from the East End of London, noted for his above average ability but lack of refinement.
Cadenza - An elaborate, ornamental melodic flourish, interpolated into a piece of classical music by the soloist.
E Flat Major - often associated with the bold, sometimes heroic; grave and serious. The major introduces the humour, the upbeat contrast to the mellow.
