Chapter 1

I'm here running with Katerin we really dont know what’s happening right now, The scene was like Alien Invasion! Our surrounding was a mess and a lot of zombies chasing us!!!!

* Run Run *

"Ryka im tired! I want to rest!" Katerin said that's why we're stopping at a Convenience Store and we go inside.

"What's happening to our place?” I asked Katerin then she stop and look at me she really looks pissed.

"How would i know that?And how many times do i need to tell you that i don’t know! " she said and pull my hair! That’s mean!

Soon as we enter the Convinience Store and we heard loud rustle on the counter and a man who was appeared there having a dark eyebag in short he look like a mess and his face is so pale! Just being honest here.

"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH" Katerin shout and she was about to cry.

"What's that noise! Youre disturbing me im sleeping here!" said the man

"Well, sorry if we bother you" I said and look outside.

"There's no one gonna come in here” he said and the creepy guy and looked at us.

"The virus is so powerful be careful if you dont want to be a zombie”his eyes is so creepy!

“Okay fine youre not okay, but what’s going on and why you look so messy?Are you a victim of rape?”Katerin says but suddenly she smile so weird.

“Ah these?Actually im a stage play actress that’s why i wear like this i was performing on the stage until someone shout that Matteo Do a Korean Alien arrived here in Philippines and all People here run to the Airport and for your information im still a virgin!”she said while playing her hair and she was about to show here private part thanks god we stopped her we don’t want to see a darkness its so weird.

“But why there’s a lot of zombie?”Katerin ask and i remember the way she pull my hair earlier later on i will revenge on her. But wait? She been pulling my hair ever since but it doesn’t hurt at all.

“What Zombie?They are not zombie they are patients who escaped from mental hospital”she said while looking at us i can see on her face the disgusts.

“But there’s a Zombie in the convenience store his name is Joseph!”i said

"Joseph? That's the head of the crazy guys who escaped who pretending that they are Zombie he was addicted playing Left For Dead games they’re looking for him now" said the girl Katerin and i look at each other and tap our forehead im sure.We are about to go crazy too!

We walked away from the girl who look like a victim of rape but still a virgin. As she claimed.

We have noticed that the trees are moving and the Balete's roots are crawling in our direction and it's the root coiled on Katerin’s body.

“Oh my god Katerin! Hey Balete tree let go of Katerin!”i shout and do a pose like a taekwando fighter.

“Ryka help me! Im to young and beautiful to die early!”Katerin shout and try to fight the root of the Balete that coiled on her body.

“Did you know that me and Katerin are one!HAHAHHA”Balete Tree said and they disappeared together with Katerin.

A lot of water dripping on my face i felt like drowning!

Ouch that’s hurt!

"What's wrong with you?" I opened my eyes and saw Katerin holding a mug I immediately got up.

“Oh my!! Katerin you're alive! I thought Balete tree Kidnapped you!”I shout at her so i was hit again by her mug okay that’s really hurt wait??? Its paining!!

“You're crazy! Im waking you up but you still yelling the word Zombie attack! Did you watch Zombie movies again last night?!”she yelled her face is really red i think its time to escape for this living dragon.

So it just a dream?That was so close!

She was about to hit me by her mug but i avoid it and run to CR and closed the door.

Oh yeahhh!

Yes, it's the first day of school today as a transfer student at Bradford University the most Prestigous University here.

When I finished bathing i fix myself and go outside and saw my younger brother reading his books.

“Rion! Take a bath your allowance is on the table go to school early!”i said

He is Rion Santos a 2nd Year High School Student in a public School he is a bratty boy but smart so no problem with that besides he is famous in his School cause he is a total packaged! Handsome and Smart.

“Okay Sister”he said and smile.

“Let’s go Ryka!” Katerin shouted from the car she is my best friend Katerin since Elementary she is Rich but choose to get enrolled to public school she is not a mean person unlike the others Rich people that very arrogant and because of her i got a chance to study in Bradford because of the Scholarship given by her parents. Im so thankful on them!

While at the car we just talked about what the School look like and some basic rules and regulations well its my first time to study in a Private School ...

I can only afford Public School.

I was 1st Year High School when my parents die into an accident i don't remember too much because I was with that accident and I just survived they said its miracle.

A stranger says that our parents are dead and i don’t know any relatives coz i have a memory loss and it was a defense mechanism of my brain in order to undergo the trauma I experienced.

Katerin’s Family help us i work as a housemaid at their House in exchange of their help to us but now we can manage to leave alone and we are currently living in a small apartment. More important is im with my brother well lucky that the day of accident Rion was at day care so he was safe and sound.

“So Ryka remember what i said okay?”she said and smile so wide. Weird.

We just arrived here in front of the School Gate you will definitely find out that this school is exclusive only for those who can afford.

“Katerin im nervous” she just laughed at me and tapped my back

“Don’t get nervous its not suites you”she said i just wince i don’t know why im feeling this way i think just because its not a public school?

As we walk while entering the school a lot of students looking at me like questioning my presence here. Im seeing this in movies.

“Is she a new student?”

“Why she’s not wearing uniform?”

“Look she’s with Katerin”

“Her assistant i think?”

“Did i mentioned that im pretty popular here?So to see is to believe especially you that always doubting what im saying” Katerin said she really know me haha besides she is beautiful im just teasing her that she’s ugly. Bestfriend things.

"The school is so nice for me" I said and wander my eyes around every scenery here is wonderful even the hallway of the school was so indeed beautiful the school also have Elevator wow.

I did not even know where I was.

“Here is your classroom Ryka so good luck!I know your a tough person!”when she said that i felt a little nervous what’s happening to me?

When i enter the room i sit in a vacant chair.

“Are you a new student miss?” a girl asked me i just nod at her and smile do im not obvious that im just new here?

“Im Shantal Alvarez how about you?”she asked again this time i face her she have a cute face she looks harmless tho. What a weird thoughts.

“Im Ryka.. Ryka Santos”i says

“What’s your family business?”Why she asking too many questions I do not know exactly what to tell her that im a Transfer here because of the scholarship?I felt tense.

“Ryka?”its her again

Then a professor came. Great save by the bell!

"Where is the new Student? Come here in front" said the professor.

I raised my hand and went to the front i feel nervous again

“Okay introduce yourself”professor said.

"Hi, im Ryka Santos" I said and smiled at them they just looked at me

“What's your family's business?" A man asked me i thought i survived that question. The whole room got silence they are waiting for me to answer.

“Sorry im late” a man entered the room like he doesn’t care if the professor was there but the professor also doesn’t care is this really normal in a private school?

“Ms. Santos you may take your sit let’s start the lessons”prof said i go back to my chair and what a coincidence his seat is beside me. Im referring to the guy who are late.

The man looked at me like questioning why im here i just point out my bag he just look at me badly okay he have a bad attitude.

I divert my attention in front i can’t wait for my break time! I badly want to talk about this to Katerin.

A few hours have passed the morning lessons is done yes! Finally.

“Hi Ryka”its Shantal who smiling at me so i smile at her back

“You are Shantal right?”i said she nod like a kid.

“You know Ryka i-i like you”she says and blushed oh my god! Is this a common lesbian nowadays?She is weird tho

“Let’s go to Cafeteria?” she said i just nod again and follow her you know i still don’t know this place.

Where is Katerin? Huhuhu.

This School is really huge!

“Ah Shantal when did you start studying here?”i ask while were walking just to break the silence between us

“Since High School i just get transfer here i am from Australia”she said and smile okay she is really a definition of wealthy.

When we arrived at Cafeteria s***h restaurant i got fascinated by their facilities they also have a big LCD screen playing Movies wow!

“Let’s order what do you want?”she ask i look at the menu and starting to gulp why the food here is too expensive! Even the water is Sixty Pesos i look at my wallet i only have One Hundred Pesos Poor me how can i eat here? I think my money is good for water only.

I look ate the Oreo Cheese cake it looks delicious but the price is 250 Pesos per slice?!

“Miss my order is two Oreo Cheese cake and Two lemonade please”Shantal said to the woman in the counter i look at her she is thin but i don’t think that she have a lot appetite in foods.

“You're a strong eater huh”i said but she just laugh

“Nope my order is for us”she said and look at the menu again i was about to freak out because i don’t have enough money when she look at me again. Maybe its really obvious in my face that I don’t have that kind of money.

“Its my treat don’t worry i think i already know your answer to my questions earlier don’t worry im not a judgmental person”she said and smile

When the food is arrived im the one who carry it you know conciliatory for the treats.

We just sit on the vacant seat and table there and talk about our life she is really a nice person i think im lucky she is really noisy she already told me all her secret like she stumbled in the middle of the streets and some people saw her undies that was crazy indeed.

“Ryka!!”its Katerin i looked at her she was holding a tray of food she sat in front of us.

“Im looking for you everywhere then you're just here!”she says and drink her lemonade like a stray cat haha

“What ever anyway Katerin this is Shantal she is the first person who approach me on room”i said she nod and look at Shantal while Shantal is blushing again?? Is she really a lesbian?

“I know Katerin of course”Shantal says and look at me

But suddenly there was a fight in Cafeteria two girls pulling each others hair.

“You’re a flirt!!”said the woman

“No its not me! You are a flirt let go of my hair!” until i saw a girl who seems to be a model walking on our direction

''Give way to the Campus Queen '' said the girl who’s holding lot of stuff all the students divided to give way to this Campus Queen? These kind of scene are often seen in movies. Nice

“Hi Katerin looks like you're with your friends?' Said the lady and looked at me from head to toe

"So what?" Katerin said, and look so upset are they in a bad tersm?The girl smile again and look at me.

''Hi im Ericka Tolentino the Campus Queen, and you are? "She said

“Ryka ... Ryka Santos'' I said and smiled slightly at her i really don’t feel her vibes.

“Okay i want you to know that do not interfere on me if you want to have quiet life here at Bradford University remember im the Queen” she said as she about to leave her toe bumped on the edge of the table. Karma is quick.

I was annoyed by her she should be thankful because i keep my anger or else im gonna break her face without knowing who she is.

“Ryka this is what i wanted to told you remember this school is not that ordinary school were student its afraid of the teachers or anyone you should know how to control your temper in order to make it last”Katerin says and tap my back i just nod and look around i think staying in this school is adventurous there’s a lot of thoughts running on my mind like im still hungry damn it.

When we got back to the classroom we had a one subject before the dismissal time then its end already yes i survived my first day.

When im putting my stuff on my bag as i noticed Shantal is gonna approached me so i look at her

“Ah Ryka do you want me to accompany you for a school tour here in Bradford so that you can familiarize every corner here”Shantal said and smile so adorable!

“Sure my pleasure to accept your offer its a big help to me”i said

“Hey count me in!!”Katerin rushed to enter the room great! finally she’s here i thought she gonna leave me here.

Shantal suddenly blushed?Maybe she’s really a Lesbian and she like Katerin? Oh my God my poor Kat she has no hope to give birth to her child if she gonna like back a lesbian. I also not heard that she had a boyfriend since so it means there’s a chance that she was also a lesbian? Oh my god!!!

“Hey Shantal why are you always blushing in front of Kat?Are you a lesbian?”i asked her that’s why her face become more red and look at me like she can’t believe what i say

“Me? LESBIAN?!”she said in a loud voice and realize what she said and so loud she immediately cover her mouth.

“Im not a Lesbian i really have a face like this always blushing”she whispered i see so she’s just shy.

We roam around the school they really have a good facilities even the very small part is fully furnished.

They also have a wide swimming pool and a big gymnasium even the open field.

“What about that door?”i said and point out the red door in front

“Ryka we’re not allowed to go there its exclusive for the Royal Punk”i looked at her with a confusing look then she just smile.

They explained who Royal Punk was. So they are the F4 wanna be here huh?Okay so im off limits then. I don’t wanna be involved on them.

We decided to go home because we feel tired roaming the school.

i bid goodbye to Shantal as i enter the car okay i think i really survived the first day there’s a bit trouble but what ever it takes i need to graduate! Fight self!

“So until tomorrow remember what i said okay never engaged to their own business there especially to Ericka and the Royal Punk have a peaceful life my friend! Hahaha”Katerin says the way she speaks she really teasing me.

“And i cannot pick you up tomorrow i have a morning meeting with some of School Officers so take care of your self!”she says and bid goodbye

When i was in front of my apartment i felt how exhausting this day is.

Too many thoughts on my head what if our parents is still alive are we living like this?Im not complaining i am really thankful because despite of all the problems we encountered im still here we still here together with my brother.

I enter our apartment and seeing our house was a quite a mess make my headache worst then i look at my baby who come to me.

“Hello Pikachu did you miss me? Is Rion the ugly give you food?” i asked my cat as if he gonna answer my question.

“Nyaaww handsome Rion fed me”it answer like a cat voice i was suprised when i hear someone talking oh my Pikachu can speak!

“Pikachu you can speak?” i was about to bow my head to Pikachu when there was a stone thrown at me

“Who the hell did that?”i shout then i heard the voice of Rion laughing.

“I throw you a stone so you should throw me some bread!” he said he really use that quotes to just tease me and make me irritated

“You i***t!!” i shout and grab the basin beside me and hit him! Shoot! 3 points!

“Ouch it hurts!”he shout in pain i feel sorry for him but it suites him he is bullying me. There’s a quotation “Only the ants can’t revenge” i smiled secretly.

“What ever! Have you eaten?”i asked he just nod and enter his room

but he drop something so i pick it up. So its a Love Letter? I look from my left and right then open it.

I read every paragraph and started to laugh.

“Ah where did you put the~~ wait why are you holding that?!” he was shocked and immediately grab the letter but im still can’t get over the message there was too much emotional the way he confessing his love towards the girl oh my god he really a grown up man now.

“Did you read it?!!”his face is blushing at the moment

“I really want to tell you that i like you for a long time but you are a diamond and im just a stone but my love for you is everlasting i will do everything just to be with you my Marika Danyela my love so sweet muah muah love lots take care” as i said that Rion face is explainable and funny he was just controlling his temper against me he was mad going back to his room.

One point Ryka!!

I look at the wall clock its already 2:00 pm i still have a part time job on convenience store.

I just change my clothes and go out thanks that the store is not that far from here.

When i arrived i go to the staff room immediately and change. I need to work hard for my brother yes im a scholar but we still have daily needs besides im planning to enroll Rion next school year at Bradford cause i believe he can have a quality education in that school.

Actually i don’t have a day off and its not existing on my vocabulary as long as part time job need me i try to take a duty.

Like tomorrow is my day off here but im going to my other job on Bookstore well i have a lot of part time job.

Even students who not able to make their project they will pay me so that i will be the one to do their school project.

When im the one who take over the counter i usually have this routine..

Scan the product...

Get the payment...

Put the goods on bag...

Give the change...

Hours past its already 10:35 Pm and Dave is already here. He is my substitute who will take over.

“Hey Dave you arrived early” i said

“Yeah i know you have a class tomorrow so i insist to duty early so that you can rest already”he said and m i smile he is really a good friend and to be honest he likes me but i told him that Love is not my priority as of now and im glad that he understand me so we keep our friendships.

“Ryka you may go now”he said

“Okay thank you Dave”i said and go to the locker to change my clothes and get my bag

“Im going home! Thanks again”i said and go out while im opening the door i saw a man sitting besides the establishment so i go closer to him.

“Mister are you fine?”i asked he raise his head and look at me.

He is handsome he is wearing a black jacket and have a black cap on his head. Wait he looks familiar.

He immediately stand and leave. What’s wrong with him? He should be thankful because im a good citizen who will ask stranger if they are okay hmm he is handsome but he had a bad attitude.

I just continue to walk...

“Ahh Flying Lizard!”i shouted i almost got slipped who the hell put a banana peel here?!

I saw the man heading on my way

“What did you said? F-flying Lizard?”he said while his hand is trembling he looks so scared he even hold my wrist oh my god what if he is a holdaper?

I grab his hand “Don’t touch me!”i shout he stare at me a minute and realize what he did.

“Don’t tell me you are scared on lizard?”i said out of the blue he just look to other direction.

“Im not scared! Im just curious about flying lizard!” he says but he sound scared.

“Ah yes! There the flying lizard beside you!” i shout and point out the wall behind him he immediately jump and go to my back.

“Whereee??!! Kill it! Kill it!”he shout he even cover his face. Is he really that scared?Im about to laugh but i remain serious is he a gay? If ever he is a waste for sure a lot of girls crying out there cause this handsome man is not a prince charming hahaha lol.

“You really scared huh?”i said and look at him i can’t take it any more i started to laugh and hold my tummy this man is weird!

“Shut up! You're just bluffing” he said and leave he really looks familiar but i really can’t remember where i saw him.

I continue to walk thanks thats the shop near to our apartment.

When i got home Rion already asleep so i just take a half bath and go to bed.

Then suddenly i remember again. the man earlier yes he is handsome but a gay.What a waste
