Our return trip home was not without some spectacle and we were in a place to worry since our ships were heavy-laden with many precious cargos and foreign envoys from the nations in the South West. What we have encountered in the recent days could not be explained nor have we seen anything of the sort. Nowhere in the seas we have traversed nor in the harbors of the barbarian lands where we set foot have we seen such a vessel. It was a ship of admirable proportions and it approached us from the South with great speed, and the soldiers and the crew attempted to hail it to no effect. Had it continued on its course, a collision with the fleet would have been inevitable. C
