I didn't wear a suit. That would've looked preposterous. Also, I didn't own one.
I barely owned anything formal. I had very few clothes. Half of which were still over at Todd's. I couldn't zip on over and grab them. I was pretty sure the police had taken them anyway. To log as evidence or whatever. Besides, I considered it too early to show up there. I heard the frat house had emptied. No one wanted to stick around if there was a wild animal or a serial killer on the loose.
I settled for a deep blue shirt tucked into a pair of black jeans. I looked too plain and ridiculous in those, so I wore a black jacket on top. Much better.
I combed my hair and tried to look harmless. Didn't work. I never looked harmless. But it was worth a shot.
