An unexpected encounter

It was a cloudy day. Dark clouds were in the sky. Eva was taking a walk as she couldn't sit still. As she walked down the street, she heard a voice near an alley. The voice sounded familiar. She stopped to take a look when she heard," you will kill for me." The voice was so familiar that she couldn't ignore. Hiding behind a wall, she peered and saw Lucas tapping three men's neck. The region where he tapped became red, circular and there was a mark like streaming water in the circle. The three jerked. Their eyes became red. They seem to be getting more senseless by the minute. They were panting. Their eyes scream bloodlust.

"That's good behavior." He averted his eyes to the other man who was on the floor, shaking in fear.

"Kill him", said Lucas.

"No! no! no!", the other man shrieked.

They moved towards him.

"Stop! I am William. Can't you recognize me?! Stop! Don't come near", the other man screamed who was on the ground.

"William", one of them said. His eyes became normal and he said.

"What? What was I gonna do?"

"You were going to kill me!!"

Lucas grunted. "There is always the one who can shake the curse. You have strong willpower, don't you? That's the kind I don't need", he said as he moved towards him. "That's the kind I don't need." He put his hand on his left shoulder. In an instant, the whole left part of the man's body was laying on the floor. The man fell. Blood was flowing like running water.

"If you had calmly obeyed me, this wouldn't have happened." Even With his leg and arm gone, the man still attempted to get up. Lucas put his feet on the man's back.

"I just told you I despise those who have strong willpower", and pushed him down, breaking his back. The man screamed and died.

"Because of you, I lost a good man. How are you going to pay for that?"

He went to the man who was on the floor terrified, put his face close to him. The man screamed. His body shriveled, his eyeballs swelled. He fell dead on the ground. He looked like a corpse. Eva shivered. She had never seen someone be so vile. This man was playing with them all along. She wanted to run. But her legs were quivering. Fear was swallowing her. She was planning to run away as fast as she could and tell others.

The sight of Kai's beautiful black eyes kept coming to Mira's mind. His sweet and warm smile made her mind bloom. When he would blush and turn his face away, she felt her heart skip a beat. His smile was like pearls gleaming in the dark. So cute that it could erase all the hatred away. "I want him to smile like this forever", Mira thought to herself. Mira remembered his words, "you can rely on me", which he said with a gentle smile and blushed more. No matter how much she tried, she couldn't get him out of his mind. To ignore this fuss in her mind, she began to walk around in her room trying to find something to occupy her mind when she noticed a small book which she brought from Nicholas's cottage. "I completely forgot about it. How dumb can I be?"
